Is the Border Fence To Keep Americans In the USA?
Comment by Luis Cardenas (422) (196 days 3 hours ago.)
Thank you for your comments..The article only reflects my personal opinion and if we think differently I am sure we coincide in other social issues.

I find it funny that the Mexican government accuses us of being hateful when we try to protect our southern border, but it's perfectly all right for Mexico to protect its southern border from illegal immigrants from Central and South America. What's even worse is they'll gladly take our money to do so! Hypocrites and two-bit thugs. Why do we even care about their opinion?

Special treatment, my backside! Certainly you have heard the horror stories of the car thefts and robberies of Americans traveling by car to Mexico. Maybe excellent treatment to those making ship-to-shore excursions or traveling to resorts. Someone once suggested that Americans stop traveling to Mexico and when their revenue falls, maybe their government will intervene and actually care about their citizens. I think at that point, it would drive more to come to the US illegally. Sadly, too many people think that if enough people do something, it should no longer be considered illegal. I am not of that mind.
The author thinks a fence promotes hate. No, limitations and laws do not promote hate at all. It is the other way around...no enforcement of limitations and those taking advantage of that is what promotes hatred.
Interesting article, but very off base. Hillary would love it.

Luis,
Fences make for bad neighbors. Anyway, on a selfish note, I am wondering how I am going to get my landscaping done and how my fruits and vegetables will get to me without spoiling? As an Arizonan, it doesn't look good without the help of the hard working migrant workers. Thanks for your contribution. Be well!

Luis, I totally agree with you about the importance of family. In our current times, family is defined in so many ways. We have a mobile society and there are so many single parents out there. That makes parenting even more difficult. I think it's our challenge to figure out how to engage parents and give people the tools they need for more effective parenting. Maybe I will write about it! Thanks for your insights. Barbara

I don't see where Americans are jumping fences illegally to come back in. They cross the border legally. The only way they can't come is for Mexico to stop them. That does not seem likely, Mexico stops no one. My friend it is not about work it is about law and a nations right to its borders. My sincere best wishes and thanks for your opinion, rtm.
