Parents with Children Not Growing Up and Moving Out

Hi Bob! I found that there is LAC. When my twins left home, 4 years ago, it was hard at first. However, they have done well for themselves. I am even a grandma now with a beautiful daughter in-law and wonderful grandson. Now the only thing I am waiting for is my 16 year old to fly the nest. My husband and I have had wonderful times without our children and also wonderful memories with my children. Thanks for your article. God bless.

hi Bob, this was a well written article. i understand everything you wrote to be true, i just want my babies back :) 2 are on their own at 20 and almost 23, one is home at 17. the only difference i see in today's world is the price of everything. gas prices, car prices, car insurance, rent, food, clothing, etc., and it's hard for young kids to afford everything. it's worrisome for us adults, even more so for our youth. but i did expose them to being independent and stubborn when it matters, and they're doing it. thanks for sharing, best regards, sue thom

I agree, but what is important is the fact that economics provides other opportunities not afforded the common folk, such as paid tutors. Not all average Americans have access to government assitance. Best Wishes.

I sort of lean on your closing yet there may be validity for some exceptional students?
