Wow! That's scary to hear hate spewed out of the same mouths of those who confess Jesus. Yes, the scriptures really are fulfilling themselves even through those you least expect. One thing for sure, nothings changed in the good ole' United States of "Who We Say Are American." Heaven help us all.

Great Article Judi. Too bad, it is all truth. I've said it before and I say it again. I am truly thankful I was born in 1930. My tour is swiftly coming to a close and I am nothing but thankful. I'm not s pessimist, just a realist.

Well, Joel, ask my family my wishes: I always wished there was truly a time machine because I assure you that I'd prefer to go back in time even if there wasn't a computer -- I am not comfortable with the values and morals of our time -- seems to me the more educated we get the more stupid we become as a society -- you are a true pleasure and I hope you enjoy your weekend -- Thanks for commenting!

The media's infatuation with Obama says more about them than him! I agree that we have look within ourselves--but this is exactly what Obama has said during the Democraic primaries, together, all of us, etc. He spoke in his nomination speech of finding common ground. That doesn't get reported--but it's not his fault! The media like controveries or celebities. But because they do, don't fall into their trap of allowing them to define our reactions! I agree on the socialism. See my SearchWrap piece Is John McCain Embracing Socialism. Interestly, I live in Charleston.

You are correct, Walter and being in advertising I am familiar with the spin -- in fact, sometimes I too am guilty of spinning things just for the sake of publicity but... this is our future and that's where I draw the line because too many people are "followers" and don't know how to think for themselves -- I look forward in reading your work, neighbor!

hi judi girl,
this was a well written, interesting article. i personally do not like either candidate, and i find that a shame, but i take my privlege to vote very seriously, and i will vote for the least harmful in my eyes.
what is more of a shame is that one cannot express their own views and opinions without being attacked. we all already have that right, to hold and view our opinions, and to see it slandered is very discouraging.
my best to you,

Ladies, we are by works already a Social Democracy. I know you have read my articles and I have defined that a few times recently. yes and as Judi knows people do not want the truth. If you do not like Obama as a MAN you are a racist, etc, etc, etc. No this is a dark age. Now think of this while you write. The answers are right before us. The New World Order Must come into being and it must through a one world system. So we have to align our selves with the systems of this world and they incorporate "Social Democracy". Of course that will never be admitted even by the facts that government is doing exactly what it is defined as being. Next, the US has to have a diminished role in the World. for certain things to come about. To step down a notch. I don't know if you have been reading the papers but OUR reliance has been more and more on NATO and Europe. Third these "our" leaders are all working hard and have been toward a one world government. If people are that naive not to know that then they deserve what they get. However, they do know and just do not believe it will destroy our Republic. Well two different systems, period, fact. They are content with Democracy and Republic not an issue any longer. Money is what matters not the system. Now in my opinion that is the reason none with fact and get angry at the messenger. It is truly out of our hands. Keep remembering the Pharisees in Jesus Time. Well educated and knowledgeable men of their day. They were blind to the Messiah. Paul one of the greatest had to be kncoked silly. So keep those smiling faces smiling, and best wishes from the other, I don't know what others will call me but I'll say to you two - friend.

Robert, everything you say is true. But just because I know an earthquake is coming doesn't mean I have to like it. I know God is in control (though it doesn't 'feel' like it), but I am a human being with emotions, just like Judi is. I've read the back of The Book, too, and I know what's coming, but I was told to "occupy till He comes" and that's what I'm attempting to do. "Occupy" is NOT a passive term!!! Ask any soldier. Yes, Robert, I count you as "friend", too!

I guess you didn't read my article "Are You Ready to Vote for the New Messiah"? And as far as the Farrakhan "video" is concerned, FoxNews has been showing that speech all day long. You are absolutely right, New York. We are slip sliding into socialism. I told that to my neighbor yesterday, and he said, "Well, you don't have to live here, you know." Apathy and stupidity rules again. Glad to see you getting involved, even if you get insulted. Just consider the source, girlfriend.

Christine, I wasn't going to respond but I'm guessing you aren't aware of the extreme passion that many of us in the US are feeling and I think we both are coming from two different sets of emotions. I have offended you and for that I apologize; that was not my aim. I stand by not caring about Obama's background but my anger overtook me as our country is upside down at present and so many are concerned with the trivial details. Perhaps what I was reading between the lines of your comments was incorrect; I hope so. For many of us, this is not about the African culture or anything other than being lied to by our government and having to pay for their crimes which is a legacy most of us want to avoid for our children. I hope we can agree to disagree - afterall, Christine, you are more popular than I am... smile (?)

Now who is getting personal here? I agreed in my previous post that this isn't about me -- and conceded that to you. But obviously you felt the need to get a little personal with "For an educated woman, you sadly missed the point in which I am embarrassed for you" and "If I were you, I'd do a bit of soul searching especially since you deal with relationships because I am not impressed." I am mature and secure enough to take "personal" attacks, I just thunk this wasn't necessary, Judi. You even call Obama my "pal" when I don't even know the guy. Hmmm, I heard that one somewhere before "palliing around" with...
I have not in any of my postings challenged you personally and I am not about to start hitting you below the belt with harsh criticism of you as a person. I have much more respect and regard for you than you seem to have for me as a person - and that's okay. I don't have to be disagreeable just because I disagree with you on some things. All I did here is put into perspective some of your so-called facts. That's all I did. I'd do it again, if I had to.
Comment by Judi Lake (2,858) Judi Lake (2 days 14 hours ago.)
Okay, I'm going to try this one more time as I seem to be cutting myself off with the computer... Christine, where you are mistaken is is that apparently this is about you and for that I'm sorry. Contrary to your opinion, I really don't care about this man's background, I don't care if he's 100% African or, as they profess, 6% black, nor do I care what color his mother's eyes were or do I care what his favorite ice-cream flavor is and I certainly don't care a bit if his father was a goat herder -- that wasn't the point at all -- For an educated woman, you sadly missed the point in which I am embarrassed for you. Realize this: one's upbringing doesn't necessarily constitute decent character and I can give you tons of examples regarding that statement. It appears that you are wanting to challenge me and, frankly, Christine, I'm up for it but for the time being let's be clear on one thing: there is never anything subconscious about anything I say or write and your pal Obama has not been honest about many, many things. Again, I am writing in defense of my country's future and the future of our land and you are doing what so many people are choosing to do which is why so many people "are not getting it" -- If I were you, I'd do a bit of soul searching especially since you deal with relationships because I am not impressed.
Comment by Christine Akiteng (68,513) Christine Akiteng (2 days 16 hours ago.)
This is not about me, I give that to you, but this has a lot do with Barack Obama's "African" background. Deny it all you want, the facts speak for themselves. If you are interested in his character you must be interested in how it came to be (background and how he was raised). You can't separate character from background and the early life experinces that shape character. May be sub-consciously you wrote about his African father and experience in a muslim nation in the first place. And if we go by your standard of "being noble and honest" based on Barack Obama's writings, then we can say here that in regard to what Barack Obama wrote about his African father and expereince in a muslim nation he passes the test for "being noble and honest" because an African (same background as Barack Obama's father and one who attended muslim schools, can recite the Kor'an but was never a muslim) is saying what Barack Obama wrote is the TRUTH. On these "facts" alone, now you know what is correct and what is not. There were no lies there.
Comment by Judi Lake (2,858) Judi Lake (2 days 16 hours ago.)
I understand your passion, Christine as I myself am extremely passionate. There are always plenty of misunderstandings regarding other cultures especially if one is not from that particular land. My own background is Spanish and Italian and believe me, there are many misconceptions in relation to those nationalities. Personally, I am not interested in Obama's background nor how he was raised - I am interested in his character and track record as a leader. The facts documented within this article came from his writings not mine so I have no way to know what was correct or not - It is not about being African, Christine, it is about being noble and honest.
Comment by Christine Akiteng (68,513) Christine Akiteng (2 days 16 hours ago.)
Judi, you certainly have the right to fight for your country and no one is trying to take that right away from you. If you notice in my comments, I make no mention of your other "facts" because it's none of my business -- I am not American. I don't even try to say Barack Obama you should trust Barack Obama or that he should be president of your precious country. It's your country you vote how you want.
All I did was correct you on some of the things you wrote that relate to Africans and the African reality. It's one thing to present mistruths about Barack Obama, it's another thing to distort the reality of a whole continent. If as you say you have friends born in Africa, they will have told you what I said here. Our reality ids different from the American reality. It ust is. If my putting things in the right perspective bothered you, I am sorry, it had to be done. The days are over when people said anything they wanted about Africans -- and we sat on our hands and allowed others define us. Whenever we can, we'll write about our own reality, our own way, how we experience it.

Stand your ground Judi. Obama is not the kind of leader America needs. There are always threats to Freedom and he is one, a true Socialist. I will vote against him and encourage others to do the same. A Patriot would never utter the words that he has spoken especially when our men and women are deployed overseas in a combat role. Judi, I agree with 98% of what you had to say in this article, but you lost me in your very last paragraph. You're right, this nation has turned its back on God and is in desperate need of a spiritual revival. We have rejected the wise counsel of our Founding Fathers in favor of political correctness, New Age philosophy, and whatever makes us feel good. Shame on America!
However, I can't buy the idea that this current economic downturn has anything to do with that. It was caused by poor financial decision-making by the government, Wall Street, and everyday citizens alike. If your premise is true, then what, pray tell, did America do to anger God in 1929 and therefore bring about the Great Depression?
Comment by Judi Lake (2,858) Judi Lake (3 days 14 hours ago.)
Hi Terry, I understand you not buying into my last paragraph but I guess I see this different than '29 -- We have spiraled into a completely Godless society who are ruled by greed and selfishness whereas in '29 there still were people with values and God was still invited to parties. That's the difference I see. We've shut Him out and I see Him allowing us to live like reckless children who are failing to listen... Thanks so much for taking the time to comment!

Another great article Judi and unfortunately it is so true. The worst part is that partisan politics has blinded peoples eyes where each party tries to blame the others. Regardless of which party, there are three or four people who are more guilty than most of the rest. Franklin Raines, Barney Frank, Alan Greenspan, are three of the most guilty. Barney Frank closed his eyes while playing house with Herb Moses, an executive of Fannie Mae, and then Frank received the most money donated by Fannie Mae for any politician's campaign. Then our own Barack Obama was the next largest recipient. All of those involved should be sentenced to hard labor on a hog farm.

Judi, this article was well researched and presented. You are to be commended. Americans must awake and realize that we must regain control of our government.
The only method of sucessfully recovering our government is through a major representation of the population at the ballot boxes everytime there is an election. Make-believe politiians like some Illinois Senators are creating havoc among our own nation and threatening our very existence. We must, as a nation, wake up, think, and vote..

The US Treasury will print the new money - the very same way that money for earmarks is created The treasury does not have any money, but it has the authority to print as much as it wants to. The United States Military backs the US dollar. Nothing else does. If there are 2 dollars in circulation, each of those dollars is worth one half of the value of our military. There are currently about 14 trillion dollars in circulation. After the bailout "bill" is passed, there will be about 16 trillion dollars in circulation. That means every dollar in your pocket is now worth about one sixteen trillionth of the US military. The next earmark congress passes will the make the bottom number of that fraction that much bigger.
This all started when democrats in congress wanted Fannie Mae to back loans that poor people could not afford. Fannie Mae backed loans that borrowers could not pay back - all in the name of helping people, who could not afford to own houses, buy houses. When those borrowers failed to pay back the loans, Fannie Mae caved in on itself. Taxpayers are replacing the lost money. Franklin Raines ran Fannie May for 6 years. His base salary was one million dollars a year, plus a bonus. That bonus was calculated as a percentage of the dollar amount of oustanding mortgages that the agency insured. Raines decided to change the rules so Fannie Mae would insure a huge number of mortgages - more than it could afford. This way, his bonuses would get a lot bigger. Franklin Raines exposed Fannie Mae to risk that was well beyond the amount the agency could handle, just to increase his bonuses. Raines was paid 90 million dollars in 6 six years. Remember, his base salary was one million per year. He created 84 million dollars in bonuses for himself by exposing the agency to risk that was well beyond its ability to handle. The result of his work? The current taxpayer bailout.
Presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush both tried to rein in Fannie and Freddie - both were unsuccessful. That means the two agencies were/are very powerful. Too powerful.
Barney Frank defended Raines actions every chance he got. Today, Frank called those who correctly accuse him of social engineering, racists. Huh? Barney Frank is arrogant, corrupt and incompetent. His position in the senate will protect him from accountability.
Our wonderful government at work - again. Thanks Barney - how is your 401k doing? Pretty well I suppose - yours is insulated by the congress, right Barney?
Comment by Judi Lake (2,858) Judi Lake (4 days 8 hours ago.)
Anon, this is an atrocity that has slapped each American Citizen hard in the face. As Robert Melaccio often says we should vote each of them out and I believe that Raines and the rest should absolutely be prosecuted for the injustices they've done - but will America stand together and act? I'm not sure... there's a promise of change going around... I pray that American's don't react from fear but begin to stand strong convicted in truth and in solidarity... Anon, feel free to vent here anytime...

Good article yet, sad state of the nation Judi. I daydream at times and wish we could just start over. So much for that. Our biggest problem is that our so called constitutional rights are no more. More money for government and less for the American people. Our founding fathers are probably turning over in their graves.
As far as being angry, doesn't everyone get angry at some point? Even Jesus was upset with the money-changers. The trick is not to hold on to it.
