Bill Ectric’s two books, Time Adjusters and Space Savers, contain short stories that blend the genres of mystery, humor, horror, science fiction, satire, and psychological drama.
On the web, Bill’s work has appeared on SearchWarp, Literary Kicks, Dogmatika, Mystery Island, Syntax of Things, Empty Mirror Books, Lit Up Magazine, and Zygote In My Coffee.
He lives with his wife in Jacksonville, Florida. By day, when not writing, Bill mows the lawn and complains about the heat. By night, he sneaks around in the back yard, convinced that the garden gnomes are “up to something.”

Minn of the Mississippi reviewed by Bill Ectric
JENNIFER WHITT from ROCK HILL, SC: (1 year 29 days ago.)

I got excited about reading this book before we even got it, based on the reviews, so thank you! My daughter is 9 years old, and so far she's loving this book! I personally love how it comes across as if you're just reading a story, with illustrations of how it happens, and yet you're really learning ALOT about Science! It will definitely lead us into more research. :)

That makes me glad I wrote it.
Thank you,

I, also read this book as a child. I checked it out so many times from my school's library that they needed to fill out a new card for it! It was and still is one of my favorites!

Minn of the Mississippi reviewed by Bill Ectric
Pat Cassady from Arlington VA: (1 year 341 days ago.)

I too was totally hypnotized by the illustrations in Minn of the Mississippi as a child growing up in the fifties. I found the scariest illustration to be the earthquake, yet I would return to the book and view them over and over. It was such a pleasure to run across Mr. Ectric's review and find he had the same experience as I with the illustrations. Thank you.

It was nice of you to leave a comment. I see you are from Virginia. I grew up in a little town called Christiansburg, VA, which is about 20 miles from Blacksburg, or 30 miles from Roanoke. Beautiful state! I live in Florida now, but that's a whole other story. Thanks again!
Surreal Music: Dave Roberts & the Crawfish of Love
Philip Sturges from Jacksonville Florida: (2 years 27 days ago.)

I was an original member of the Crawfish. I grew up with Dave & Pat in the northside in the 70's. In 1980 Dave sent me a handmade postcard inviting me to come over to his new apt in San Marco & listen to some of the reel to reel recordings he'd made & I thought they were great - surreal, hilarious, unclassifiable. We started collaborating, writing material, & later playing here & there at various places in Jax. It was a tremendously fun experience. Thanks guys! Peace, Philip Sturges

Book Review: Arthur & George by Julian Barnes
adam navin from United kingdom: (2 years 44 days ago.)

There is a non-fiction account recently published by Pegasus. “Conan Doyle and the Parson’s Son: The George Edalji Case”, researched and written by Gordon Weaver is the only non-fictional account of the George Edalji case. This book explores the complex issues that surround the harassment of the Edalji family and the conviction and trial of George Edalji. The wealth of Home Office documentation held at the UK’s National Archives provides additional dimensions to what in fact case. Adam Navin

Larry Keenan Interview by Bill Ectric
Marc Garren from Tokyo: (2 years 191 days ago.)

Great interview! It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words but Keenan's insights are as amazing as his pictures. Perhaps most illuminating is his description of light as a "wave of particles" imaging like "water".

Larry was so interesting to talk to and such a nice guy. Thanks for replying to my article.

Tammerlin is a favorite of mine. I'm doing a review of their fine new CD "One Kind Favor" for the Friends of Florida Folk publication "FOFF FOCUS." Reading Bill's enlightening interview has helped me w/my review. Thanks Bill.

I'm glad you liked the interview. I had a great time doing it. Arvid and Lee are really nice people.
