Metaphysics, Creativity, and the Joy of EnlightenmentCarmellita M Brown (92) ![]() ![]() Carmellita M Brown ![]() Blue Lotus Living A Kombucha at Lunch, Realizing Inspiration Is From Within, and I am One with My Lucky BambooPosted Monday, May 04, 2009 (202 days 18 hours ago.) Viewed 38 times. I sat at my desk staring at my lucky bamboo plant. It whispers, "we are one." We do live life from the inside out. Inspiration is something which moves from within us. And we all want to be inspired, motivated, moved, and quickened in life. Accordingly, metaphysics, personal development, metaphysical philosophy, and true spirituality all teach us that everything in our reality right now came from "within" us. This confirms that my reality, your reality, "his" reality, "her" realityare woven into each other's varying versions of one true and authentic reality and this makes us all one. Realizing this "oneness" and accepting this into our own personal consciousness allows us to co-exist in peace and harmony even as individuals. Resisting this truth about reality and struggling against it by attempting to manipulate others causes conflict, war, and turmoil. We must seek to co-create our reality instead of trying to manipulate others. In order to let go of our manipulations we must let go of the ego. Furthermore in letting go, we must accept that we are all co-creators with this magnificent universe and that this universe is working through us to expand life. We exist with and in a powerful Creative Force, which is infinite intelligence and orchestrates all things with infinite organizing power in wonderful melodious synchronicities. In sync with this melody of life, the varying life forms we see in nature and in each other is a result of the creativity of this Divine and powerful life-giving force in all of us. While this may sound more mystic than scientific, it is this invisible force which is the source of animation for all life we see and experience. This power, this life-giving force is as real as the carbon dioxide I exhale as my lucky bamboo plant inhales it. It is oneness. It is holistic-holy. It is pure consciousness. It is the basis of all true spirituality. And even as our own rhythms of life change and transform from one state to another state, from one cycle to the next cycle, and one form to another form; it is this cosmic rhythm of onenessholinessholism held together by an all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present, all-organized force of life which is the true reality. And we must know It. We must become fully aware of It as powerful co-creators. Time cannot destroy this power for it is ever-present and defies time. It has no boundaries for it is always growing and become more. Now do we see through Its power just how powerful we are created to be? Through the awareness of this power, we having a seed of it as our own life-force should realize that as this power works through us and in us as "willing vessels", we are the vehicles for this powerful force in our reality. This means time cannot destroy us and we have no boundaries or limits in life. With this loving, mystical power, are you moved to become more? Are you inspired and motivated? What do you choose to co-create in your reality? Now, I put down my pen and ponder the questions. I look to my lucky bamboo plant again, very apologetically, "sorry friend, you were right," I whispered. I had been told that if we talk to our plants they will grow and remain lively. No one ever told me that plants would talk back and we would grow too._________________________ Carmellita M. Brown is the Creative Director and Co-Founder of Blue Lotus Living, LLC. It's Good Friday and the market is filled with shoppers searching for last minute Easter baskets. I hear the vibrant child screaming, "No, mama, not that one Leslie has the purple one. I want a purple one too." "The pink one is much cuter. You don't want the same one Leslie has, do you?" "Yes!" The little girl screamed. I don't know who Leslie is, but I could tell that child knew what she wanted. I'm thinking no matter if her mom chooses the pink one or not, the little girl wants the purple bunny rabbit. The grocery store was absolutely crowded today. I remembered, of course, it's Good Friday. But isn't every Friday a good Friday? Be patient Carmellita, I reminded myself. I watched as people rushed and grabbed things from the shelves. "This too shall pass," I whispered to myself. And just when I collected myself, I reached the parking lot.... "Okay," I'm thinking... "I need a Buddha moment." "Whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings... that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide." ---Buddha Good, Kind, the welfare of all beings, yes, that's right. I should have a Good Friday. And what good can I find today? What did I learn from the little girl and her mom? What did I learn from the people crowded in the market today? I learned that when people are trying to keep up with the commercialized mumbo jumbo, they lose sight of what really matters. Is it really about purple or pink bunny rabbits? We must take the "good" of this day and let it be our guide. Let the "good" be our guide everyday. ________________________ Carmellita M. Viewed 160 times. Today is April Fool's Day and the G20 Summit is soon to be on its way. The global economy is being affected and the guy in the cubicle next to you thinks that rapping everything on your desk in bubble wrap is so damn funny. You're not laughing. You need a Buddha moment Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense." Buddha Common Sense is a not-so spiritual term which means something very spiritual. Common sense is our spiritual aptitude. Yes, today is April Fool's day and throughout this day we will hear things and have people do things, which are designed to "fool" us. We will have to use common sense to realize if it is a prank, joke, or real. Many of us are watching over our shoulders today at work and at home because we know there maybe a prankster in our midst. However, there is something wonderful we can learn from this day-something we can learn about life. What we can learn is how to use our spiritual aptitude when we notice that something is just not right. On days outside of April Fool's Day, we get those intuitive moments and we ignore them. We shrug our shoulders and count it as a simple hunch. However, because it is April Fool's Day, we are alert. We are aware. We are on our toes. Think about it for a moment. What if we were alert in this manner each day? What if we were tapped into our sense of awareness like this each day? What could we tap into from the field of infinite possibilities? How much would we grow and become more. Yes, the quote by Buddha speaks volumes and the statement in the quote to truly pay attention to is "unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense." It doesn't matter who says or does what, we must learn to use our own spiritual aptitude to learn what agrees with us. Even during this global economic challenge we are all facing, no matter what takes place at the G20 Summit, tomorrow or next year. We must use our Spiritual aptitude, our spiritual intelligence, and our own common sense. Experts can be wrong. Presidents we like or dislike can be right our wrong. At the beginning and the end of the day, it is necessary for us to do what we know intuitively is right for us. And just how do we get to the place where we know what is right for us? It will take time to build this type of faith in yourself. It will take time to trust your spiritual aptitude, but the time should be filled with our spiritual work. We must pray, meditate, journal, listen to true self confirmations, say our affirmations, take meditative journeys, practice yoga, and practice present moment awareness. When we commit to such spiritual work, our spiritual aptitude is refined and we begin to trust our inner "knower." So, no matter how this day may go, whether it is a day of pranks, unfunny jokes, and disappointment with the G20 Submit. It all begins and ends with you. Like Mother Teresa said, "It is all between you and God, anyway." _________________________ Carmellita M. Brown is the Co-founder and Creative Director of Blue Lotus Living, LLC.
