Elfreda-Eriksen blogElfreda Eriksen (100) ![]() ![]() Elfreda Eriksen ![]() Silent Soul speaketh the truthPosted Saturday, October 10, 2009 (42 days 9 hours ago.) Viewed 7 times. Silent soul, thoughts running deep, Like magma flowing in the chambers of what seems to be a dormant volcano. Bubbling deep beneath the surface. The silent soul speaks the truth, nature will tell, and nothing will get in its way. For the force of nature will clear the air in a burst of energy that leaves all that has been hidden, clear for all to see and hear. Reality and nature walk together hand in hand and nothing can part them but time. Time's cloak. Silent soul, thoughts running deep, hide no more in the dark chambers. Reveal the truth that lies within, and cast the shadow of deception aside... Allow the roots of new life, new thoughts to grow in good soil, absorbing the sun's energy, reach out for the hand that will bring happiness... Speak the truth as you see it, as it is in your world, in your heart, in your eyes, then see how this sits with the reality of others that effect your life and ask them to speak their truth. Only then can there be release from those silent thoughts bubbling up in the chambers of the mind. Permalink Comments (0) WeathermanPosted Friday, July 10, 2009 (134 days 8 hours ago.) Viewed 23 times. You ask me how I'm feeling whether or not I'm blue, well to tell the truth dear Weatherman, It's entirely up to you. When you say the sun is shining and spring is in the air, well my heart is full of happiness from it's warm and gentle glare, When you say"but" when October comes, the sun will hide behind a cloud and disappear from sight, Sorrow befalls and darkness calls and things just don't feel right. So, Weatherman remember when considering how I feel that every message you impart can build or break me still. The power of your own moods can effect others in a profound and dramatic way. We forget how much our everyday existence is challenged by the mood and response of others. Look at the mood set by the news paper tabloids and the power they have to set the mood of thousands. In this poem I am talking about just one person who effects my every day life deeply. It is a personification of larger issues of emotional power and control. If I could sail the world three times over and climb the highest mountain and stand at the rim of Mount Etna's crater I would, with you by my side. With you by my side there is no fear, If I could stir a crowd with a thousand funny lines and raise the roof with laughter, then I would with you by my side there is only joy, If I could heal the suffering with faith and caring my heart full of sharing with you by my side there is only love... I do not like this word "If" what is it but a false barrier, making hopes and dreams worthless. "If" is a cruel word that implies the sabotage of great and wonderful thoughts and actions. A poor relation to the word "but", full of doubting and lack of faith. Let me begin again: I will sail the world three times over and climb the highest mountain and stand on the rim of Mount Etna's Crater With you by my side there is no fear, I will stir a crowd with a thousand funny lines (it would take that many!) and raise the roof with laughter with you by my side there is only joy I will heal the suffering with faith and caring and endless sharing with you by my side there is only love. I bequith to you my soul, my modest creative powers and my silent thoughts, the most powerful gift of all. When every word has been spent, it's time to call it a day, Every feeling, every desire, every message has been sent, the curtain gradually closes. With lingering pain, of missed opportunities, feelings of loss, staggering along the path, stumble and fall, weak with exhaustion. Agonizing silence, Withdraw into a cocoon, the only safe haven, till the pain of love goes away, just for today, Hiding from the reality, that it was all in my mind and not in his, In my heart, but not in his, In my words, but not in his. So the curtain closes, And I must stay in the dark With these last spent words, And pain in my heart. Dedicated to all those people who have felt the strong arm of rejection. It's a painful path, but one that cannot be avoided. For no-one knows when God Apollo commands his archer to strike his potent arrow or when Puck's mischief is at hand to turn your world upside down. I certainly wasn't expecting one arrow in the heart and one in the achilles heal at the same time!! Permalink Comments (9) TranquilityPosted Wednesday, June 17, 2009 (157 days 7 hours ago.) Viewed 16 times. Tranquility only comes with inner happiness. When the person you love, loves you, When everyday feels brand new, When you can stand alone with your thoughts and know he is thinking of you too. Time ticks by, hour upon hour days, weeks, months, years, but nothing changes, except the seasons. Happiness is the inner strength to hold on to what you believe in, and nurture it every day, knowing that he is never far away. Tranquil in mind, body and spirit and you in my world today and always. Building a good relationship can take years, especially with the new way of communicating via email. How do you express your love and caring through a computer? Not being able to hold someone's hand that you love, or give them a loving bear hug. What detachment is this? It's almost like being on a starvation diet!! True, it is enough just to have someone to talk to and share thoughts. But what if you are wanting to be closer to someone. This would render email a form of torture rather than pleasure. Well, I suppose we have the same experience when we communicate with God. What do searchWarpers think of email communication? Permalink Comments (1) |
