|
What kind of
articles do you accept? |
| SearchWarp.com accepts
a broad range of articles on many different subject areas. We
favor articles written for passion and not
articles written for profit. This means
that if it appears to us that your articles are written
about something you feel passionately about, it will be
promoted more prominently. If it appears that your
articles are written because you are trying to make a
profit, they will be promoted less prominently.
Advertisements and articles written
about high-spam topics are typically rejected or
reposted to one of our sister websites which has lower
quality standards. These topics include mortgage /
lending, credit cards, gambling, pharmaceuticals, sexual
enhancement, work from home, multi-level marketing and
matchmaking / dating.
We do not allow articles that are not
appropriate for all age groups, promote hatred, or contain
profanity.

|
|
Why does my article change its formatting after I paste it
into the HTML editor? |
| There could be
various problems depending on the editor that is used to
create the original article. If you are using a word
processor such as Microsoft Word, many problems can be
resolved by saving the article as an HTML document from Word,
then opening the HTML document and pasting it into the
SearchWarp.com HTML editor. Sometimes
the best thing to do is to paste the article into Notepad
(Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad in Windows XP)
and then copying from Notepad and pasting into the
SearchWarp.com HTML editor. This removes All special
formatting except for line breaks. |
|
|
How long will my article remain on SearchWarp? |
| Articles accepted by SearchWarp
typically are displayed for at least 6 months, and then they
will be maintained as long as they continue to have people
come to read them. If an article does not receive a
significant readership, it will be archived so that the
author can still view the article, however the article will
not be viewable by others. |
|
|
Why does my article
show "Private"? |
| All new articles
start out as Private when they are first submitted to
SearchWarp.com. After an article is reviewed and
approved by an editor, it becomes Public.
A Private article can be viewed by anyone, but
it is not promoted throughout SearchWarp.com until it becomes
Public. |
|
|
How
are the articles on SearchWarp.com promoted? |
| Currently there are
2 methods of promotion that SearchWarp.com uses. The
primary method is by simply linking to each article from
related articles. Tens of thousands of visitors come to
read SearchWarp.com articles every day, and if an article is
unique and has good content, it will attract readers.
We also employ a simple Search Engine
submission function that will submit an article to various
search engines and web directories. This is optional and
must be initiated by the author.
We also provide convenient links to social
bookmarking sites. |
|
|
How often are
articles reviewed? |
| Our editors start at
7 am and stop at 10 pm (eastern), 7 days a week. The
typical wait for a new article to be reviewed is around 2
hours. |
|
|
How large can my article be? |
| The maximum size is
120 characters for the title, and 15,000 characters for the
body of the article, which is roughly 2,500 words. |
|
|
Can
I upload my article instead of typing it in? |
| We recommend that
you copy your article from a word processor such as Microsoft
Word so that you can check for grammatical and spelling
mistakes, and then paste it into our online HTML editor.
Using this method, articles can be rapidly added to our
database. If you have trouble pasting
an article into our online HTML editor, please let us
know. We are constantly trying to improve the methods
our authors can use to submit articles. |
|
|
Do you accept all articles submitted to SearchWarp.com? |
| No we do not.
Though we don't require articles to be eloquently written, we
do require that they serve a purpose other than advertising or
promoting a particular product or service, and will benefit the
reader. |
|
|
Can I write an article that contains a link to my web
business? |
| Your article must serve a useful purpose other than promoting
your own web business or no one will want to read it, and it
will likely be removed from SearchWarp.com! Your articles must contain
useful information that is not company-specific, and must not
focus only on your business(es). The most appropriate
way to promote your business in an article is in an authors
bio at the end of your article. |
|
|
How do I become a
'Featured Author'? |
| Featured Authors are
hand-picked by SearchWarp editors based on several factors
including writing style, article popularity, the number of
people in their fan clubs, etc. |
|
|
What do I use as
my referral link? |
| Every link to every
one of your articles is your referral link. A visitor
must view one of your articles before visiting the home page
in order for that person to be considered your referral. |
|
|
Is there a limit
to the number of articles I can submit at once? |
| There is no limit
to the number of articles you can submit at once, though we
ask that you please take the time to format each one properly.
Your articles may not all be approved at once. |
|
|
Why is my article
rated so low? |
| The SearchWarp editors used to
rate articles based on formatting or content, but not
anymore. Rating the quality of writing and formatting
is up to readers who leave comments.
SearchWarp editors rate articles based on how
much of each articles is written for profit or written for
passion. This is basically a "spamminess" scale.
SearchWarp has never accepted
advertisements disguised as articles. Articles
relating to a product or service which the author sells or
links to is suspect and is rated lower. Articles that
don't mention products or services, or don't contain links,
get rated higher.
Articles which are blatently written for
link building or promotion, in the opinion of the editors,
are not accepted on SearchWarp. |
| |
|
Does SearchWarp.com allow automated or bulk submission of articles? |
| No we do not.
Submitting articles in bulk is a violation of our article
submission guidelines and typically results in the articles
being rejected or reposted on on of our sister web sites. |
|
|
How do I add
Keywords to my article? |
|
Keywords are not normally used by the major search engines any
longer, so we do not have a mechanism set up to allow keywords
to be specifically specified. If there are certain
search phrases that you are targeting, we recommend using them
in your title and using them naturally in the body of your article. |
|
|
Why has my article
been reformatted? |
|
Articles that are submitted but are difficult for people to
read due to formatting issues, or articles that do not comply
with the SearchWarp Terms of Service may be reformatted by an
editor. If this is unacceptable, please notify us so that your
articles can be removed. |
|
|
Does SearchWarp use 'rel=nofollow' in external hyperlinks? |
|
Yes we do. To remain true to our
mission, we
do. Adding the 'nofollow' attribute does not hinder readers from clicking
on the links in any way. Articles which allow reprint
rights have are made available without nofollow links. |
|
|
If SearchWarp uses
'nofollow',
what's the benefit for me to submit to SearchWarp? |
If you are looking for backlink value, than
there probably is nothing in it for you and your time would
be better spent submitting to other places instead of
SearchWarp.
SearchWarp is a writers' community, where people participate
because they love to write, they are passionate about the
subjects that they write about, and enjoy interacting with
the other writers on SearchWarp. This has nothing to do with
link-building or search engine optimization. |
|
|
How can I remove or respond
to a comment or question left on one of my articles? |
|
After logging in to your author account,
several links will appear at the bottom of each comment or
question on each of your article pages which will allow you
to respond to a comment, or remove it. |
| |
|
Why was my account
closed? |
|
We don't like to close accounts, but
sometimes we feel it is necessary when there is blatant
disregard for the Article
Submission Guidelines. We might consider it
blatant disregard when the guidelines are grossly broken on
the very first article submitted, or when the guidelines are
broken on a high number of articles. Here is a list of
common infractions of the guidelines:

Author Account Issue - Author has registered with obviously false name or bad email address, or author repeatedly disregards SearchWarp.com's terms of service.
