The Evolution Of HP and Epson Inkjets

Posted Friday, December 07, 2007 (214 days 11 hours ago.) Viewed 20 times.

When you're looking for ink for printers, two names rise to the top of the pool: HP inkjet cartridges and Epson ink cartridges. Of course, it really depends on what brand printer you own, but if you're after high quality prints, HP and Epson will deliver quality both in the printers they make and in the ink they develop for their printers.

Actually, the word "develop" pretty well sums up the difference between HP inkjet cartridges, Epson ink cartridges, and their competitors. Both of these giants in the printing industry continually put your money back to work for you by researching, developing, and implementing the most current innovative technologies to deliver the best print solutions to their customers including the ink for the printers they market.

Hewlett Packard didn't start out making HP inkjet cartridges. In fact, they didn't start making ink for printers. HP was started in 1939 by Stanford classmates, Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard who made an audio oscillator-an instrument used by sound engineers and then sold eight of them for use in the movie Walt Disney movie Fantasia.

Hewlett Packard's dedication to providing their customers with new technologies has carried them through the decades. In 1978, HP dove into the field of desktop printing and in 1984 released the "Thinkjet" and later that year, the HP Laserjet Printer. The dependability and affordability of these two HP Printers changed the direction of the entire printing industry. This year, HP's development and release of Vivera Ink for printers is a new breakthrough in 21st Century photographic imaging.

Epson has long been a household word in both consumer and business printing, simplifying solutions for specialized operations like the first seven-color archival desktop photo printer to offering the home-computer user an Epson ink cartridge that tells you when it's running dry!

The company is a subsidiary of the Japan-based Seiko Epson Corporation, which evolved from K. Hattori & Company, a company that was established in 1881 and involved in the importing and exporting of clocks and watches. In 1968, Suwa Seikosha (the parent company of the Seiko Group) developed the first commercially successful printer mechanism, the EP-101. In 1975, the Epson brand was established and since that time Epson has been the forerunner of many innovations in desktop printing and ink for their printers. Epson prides itself in its century-long development of precision solutions for its customers.

An attribute Epson and HP share is their attention to precision detail; both continually deliver the best not only in products such as their printers but also in support products like the ink for the printers they sell. Another characteristics these companies have in common is their dedication to doing business in an environmentally responsible manner in the understanding that preserving their market is as important as broadening it.

Are you spending a small fortune on inkjet cartridges? Why? Shopping online for cheap inkjet cartridges can save you an absolute fortune and also help the environment. Source: www.Inkjetables.com

Acid Reflux - Where, How and Why

Posted Wednesday, August 29, 2007 (314 days 12 hours ago.) Viewed 36 times.

GastroEsophageal Reflux Disease is such a mouthful to say that it is no wonder most people simply refer to it as GERD or acid reflux. What exactly is GERD? A simple definition is that this is an uncomfortable condition where an acidic liquid is refluxed, or regurgitated, from the stomach into the esophagus, which can become damaged. Although GERD is not considered a life threatening condition, it can certainly make the person suffering from the disease quite miserable.

With a name like acid reflux, it is no surprise that the liquid being regurgitated into the esophagus has acid in it, but you may not be aware that it also contains pepsin. Pepsin is a digestive enzyme, meaning it breaks down proteins in the stomach. The liquid may also contain a bit of bile that has backed up into the stomach from the duodenum. However, the pepsin and bile don't cause much damage or discomfort, which is why GERD is called acid reflux.

If you think that the only time you are suffering from acid reflux is when you lay down, you may be surprised to discover that you are probably also having GERD attacks during the day. However, since you are standing or sitting, the acid is just going right back into the stomach before it causes you any pain or discomfort.

Women who are carrying a child may have a change in the intensity of their attacks, since they are suffering from a hormonal imbalance. In addition, their stomachs are being forced to adjust to accomodate the growing fetus, which causes more problems.

Fortunately, most acid reflux sufferers can find relief by using over the counter products that are commonly available in drug stores. Pepsid, Protonix, and Prilosec are all quite effective in providing relief for symptoms of GERD. However, they will not cure this disease. GERD is chronic and will flare up throughout the life of the person who has it. If the common over the counter medications do not alleviate your symptoms, you should talk to your physician about other options.

If you're constantly suffering from acid reflux and would do just about anything for relief then why not try Refluxamine for almost instant relief from the hell of heartburn.

Italian Interior Decorating Tips and Ideas

Posted Sunday, June 24, 2007 (1 year 15 days ago.) Viewed 644 times.

Many of you have been to Italy on holiday, and if not then we have all seen images of this beautiful country's scenery and art on Television. This is why Italian decorating styles are being increasingly recreated in other countries, and go towards creating a wonderfully clean, stylish room.

The main colours that you will want to use include cream, white and red, although you might prefer them looking marbleised, or like leather; the faux style. If you want a more textured Italian look, then plastic and stucco go brilliantly.

On the ceiling, you will be fine having a plain white ceiling, and this is often better in a small room, but in a less cluttered room, a mural on the ceiling will look much better. With the floor, carpet is not the thing, for an authentic look you could go for a lavish mosaic, although simple marble often looks better. Sometimes you can even get away with having a wooden floor covered by a rug.

When it comes to furniture, antique furnishings and reproductions look brilliant in Italian rooms, but make sure you get the right sort. The ones that look best are those with curvy and gilt patterns. You may like to also buy silk curtains for the windows, and also some vibrant pillows for the sofa.

Italian rooms beg for accessories, so try getting some miniature pillars, and definitely a statue or two. To complete the decorative look, also try out a mirror, maybe a chandelier, and an Italian painting. Whatever you decide to buy, imagine it being in your room before you purchase and make sure that it fits in with the Italian theme - if you're not sure then don't buy, as it will probably look out of place.

Once you have fully accessorised, you will have the heart of Europe in your own house, and will no longer need to travel to experience the romantic style of Italy.

Is It Time To Replace Your Trampoline Springs?

Posted Monday, April 16, 2007 (1 year 84 days ago.) Viewed 58 times.

As you bounce up in the air for the hundredth time, you may be wondering how your trampoline works. There are two things that work together to make you bounce. The trampoline springs and mat combine to create the proper tension to enable you to bounce when you jump. However, exactly how high you bounce depends directly on exactly how strong the springs around your trampoline's edges are.

All trampoline springs should pass the American Society for Testing and Material standards before they are used on a trampoline. These springs are made with a high quality piece of wire that has been made stronger through a process called galvanization. The galvanized wire is coiled and then is cut to the proper length to form springs.

With each bounce someone takes on the trampoline, stress is placed on the springs. This is why using the strongest wire available is a good idea. Even with high quality wire, the springs will weaken and stretch over time. You should take a look at your trampoline every month to be sure the springs look sturdy and are not rusty. To help keep the springs working well longer, cover the entire trampoline with a tarp when it is not in use and consider spraying the metal with WD40 or a similar anti-rust product. The reason keeping your trampoline springs in good working order is so important is that they could snap at a weakened or rusted point as someone is bouncing away on the trampoline.

While you may want to go right to your trampoline's manufacturer when you replace springs, you can also go to an online store that sells replacement parts. Two well known spring brands are Ultra Bounce and DDI Sports.

Of course, when you buy your replacement springs, you want to be sure you get ones that actually fit your trampoline. To find out which size you should shop for, remove a spring from the trampoline and measure it from one hook to the other. You should take your measurement in inches, since that is how these replacement parts are sold. You may actually want to measure two or three springs in case one of them is really stretched out to be sure you have the right measurement.

Once you have your measurements, you can shop for replacement springs. There are many great replacements parts suppliers operating online and you can find more information on them by following the resources section at the end of this article.

Trampoline are tons of fun and safe for all the family to use - as long as the springs are not in need of replacement? http://www.TotalTrampoline.com
