The Strangest Secret of Success – Thinking Supernaturally.

Earl Nightingale said that the only thing that all of the wise men, teachers, philosophers and prophets have completely agreed upon is this – we become what we think about. That's the strangest Secret. Think of how powerful this is when you consider or think that your superhuman possess the intellect, will and emotions of God.

When a young shepherd named David learns that Israel is being threatened by Goliath he can't understand why the battle-hardened Israeli soldiers are wringing their hands and n quaking in their boots. He reasoned that Goliath was a predator. God described David as a man after his heart.

Since David was a man after Gods' own heart. He would have possessed the intellect, will and emotions of God. He would have thought like God thought. It never occurred to David that he wouldn't defeat a Goliath. Why? He thought like God. Would God be worried about a lion, a bear, or a giant? Of course not, and neither would someone who possessed the same intellect, will and emotions.

If know the enormous power incubated in thought, you will be swift to use it.

Self-Pity and Its Attendant Woes

Self-pity is one act that you must never get involved in if you want to create an enabling environment for success.

"The character, self pity is more destructive than the sound of it. Self-pity is a silent killer, it destroys gradually. It is more like, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). It is a horrible disease" REV. PSTR. E. C. EMERUWA.

Self-pity is defined by the Oxford Advanced Learners' Dictionary as: a feeling of pity for ones self especially because of something unpleasant / unfair that has happened to you. Self-pity is looking at yourself as being hopeless. It is having unnecessary sympathy for yourself" REV. PASTOR E. C. EMERUWA.

Self-pity is the act of under-estimating the abilities in one's self. It is the act of self limitation. Self-pity is one of the facts that made many great men live and die like cowards. It is the cause of so many talents that are wasted. And what many do not understand is that the more you reflects and take cognizance of negativity, the more damnation you accrue to yourself for more horrible experiences. If you keep looking at what you have you will never see what you will have.

He (ELIJAH) asked that he might die: "It is enough; now O Lord, take away my life for I am no better than my ancestors" 1 KINGS 19:4; NRSV. Self-pity will make you equal yourself with ordinary men. Who is he that says you are not better than those that were before you. Self pity will make you want to stop. Self-pity reduces you to an ordinary person. Self-pity will make you whine instead of winning in the face of adversity. Self-pity will make you loose control and be controlled.

You have to learn to reject the worn out path of success. Oh! I am an orphan, education is meant for those with money and sponsors. I am satisfied with the level I am; at least I can eat twice a day. Everybody knows that nobody is there to help me. That you've stopped ploughing will not turn the hand of time to a stand still. The clock ticks, the earth rotates, seasons come and go and changes occur within and without. It always amount to nothing but perpetual want and indebtedness to stop while nothing stops.

My parents left nothing for me, but I have wife and children even though we are managing. I am alright. Ah! They are those that were born with silver spoon in their mouth let them do it. No! You can beat anything if you want. You have to be better off. Listen to what REV. E. C. EMERUWA has for you, "When I quit self-pity the God of heaven came to my aid and turned my situation around and I became better off". You can be better than what you are today, if you can quit from self-pity, and see that you are a reflection of abilities and possibilities.

He who always wants to be pitied pays hugely to earn it and as such profit less from this sentimental reward of self-reduction and wanton enslavement. Self-pity will deny you the opportunity for exposure and possession. Believe in yourself and the strength of God in you. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. That's another way to a big time champion. Where Christ is your strength you never can be beaten off. Yes! He lives. Don't hang the boot yet. Self pity breeds inferiority complex. Be yourself and believe in yourself.

Wisdom To Achieve The 'Extra-Ordinary'

He that has wisdom has everything.

Wisdom which is defined as the ability to make sensible decision and give good advice because of the experience or knowledge you have, is the principal thing. 'He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul, he that keepeth understanding shall find good. I have often thought that morality may perhaps consist solely in the courage of making choice. Living wisely is all about living positively and living positively is all about living morally.

Who so keepeth the law is wise, but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father. They that transgress the law are foolish. A wise youth keepeth the law and abstaineth from wrong doing. In wisdom you shall be established but in foolishness you shall come to ruin. Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom and in all thy gettings get understanding (PROVERB 4: 7 KJV). The wealth of the simple is for the wise, for their simplicity will always waylay them and only a word from the wise can free them. The rich without wisdom will always spend his riches on the wise to bail them out of trouble. For the foolishness of a man perverteth his way.

The world will make you their need when you have what the world need. A wise man makes wealth free of filth. For he does not make haste after wealth but riches makes haste after him. There are just but two things that command influence and they are: wealth (money ) and wisdom. Wisdom is strength nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised and his words are not heard. He that is wise and poor is an enemy to the brother of wisdom: 'understanding & knowledge'. "Say to wisdom you are my brother and understanding you are my sister".

The wise understands the way of riches but the simple makes wealth by chance. A wise rich shall be shaken and not fall by the storms and waves of life but a rich fool shall slump to the bottom in face of trials. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom and the man that getteth understanding: for the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver and the gain thereof than fine gold.  

Apply your heart to understanding your ear to word of knowledge. Open your mind to wisdom 'The mind is like a parachute it only functions when it is open. There is a lot in you, choose to exploit them. The thought of foolishness is a sin. Be a positive youth live aright, buy wisdom and sell it not. That there should die one man ignorantly that has the capacity for knowledge that I call tragedy. A wise mind says now but a simple mind says later.

Time is wealth know the true worth of it seize it and enjoy every moment of it. Stop procrastinating. Live not as though there were thousand years ahead of you. The wiseness of a man makes a way for him but the foolishness of a man brings their end. Struggle is not just all you need, you need wisdom. The wise will always avoid trouble, but fools are catalysts to it. The rich who is in want of wisdom is miserable for his later end is worth lamenting for. The wise will always appease the law with a repentant heart. Be a positive youth live aright. You are the back bone of any society be wise. A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart is at his left. According to this saying, the wise man's heart being at his right hand means that the wise makes good use of his heart, but the fool cannot. It is the choice we make that makes all the difference.

 Free your soul totally from folly. Learn to be prudent. The fools talk much about themselves and the imprudent is filled with pride. Turn your heart not after them; guard yourself with learnings, for as dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so do little folly to him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour. 

Wisdom spreads farer and faster than wealth. Wisdom is wealth but wealth is not wisdom. Wisdom makes one rich but riches makes no man wise. A feast is made for laughter and wine makes merry; but money answers all things. Wisdom is profitable to direct, no matter how rich one is without direction he is like a floating rafter on a high sea, he shall be consumed in the heat of the day and chilled by cold of the night yet his end shall likely be more miserable.

To live in ignorance and folly is dangerous. You need wisdom. Impact positively to your companions and live positively. Get wise now. By wisdom discoveries are made and by understanding solutions are found to problems. Science is an organised knowledge; wisdom is an organised life. Honesty is the first chapter of the book of wisdom. Think about that.

Wisdom has a lot more to offer than what you think. In the above quote, "happy is the man that findeth wisdom and the man that getteth understanding: for the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver and the gain thereof than fine gold", the underlined statement has an underlying meaning deeper than what the sound itself connotes. The merchandise of wisdom is better than the merchandise of silver so says that statement above. Without saying anything on the fore-going I want to look into the account of Solomon briefly, in fact the most important account of him.

 "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? This was a point in Solomon's life that he had to define his destiny and glory be to God that he never misused it. Be so sincere with yourself, If you are faced with the opportunity to be rich untold? If you are faced with the best chance to live longer that Methuselah? If you are faced with the opportunity to go to heaven gratis? If you are faced with the opportunity to become the most powerful person on earth, would blow it away? If God happens to come to you and ask you to ask what shall be done for you? What on earth do you need wisdom for? If I may ask.

Solomon recognised what it meant to be wise than to be any of the above and up till now he is being remembered for it and the rest of what he became after the rightful choice of wisdom is ever obvious. The merchandise of wisdom is better than that of silver and the gain better than that of fine gold. Silver symbolizes the choicest thing of the world and gold enormous riches. What we don't know is that when wisdom leads, every other thing follows.

Many a times we come face to face with what might make us the envy of other without knowing it. If I need riches and I want to ask God to give it to me, I would ask him to give me wisdom so that I can make them myself. By a single right choice, Solomon did become the most desirable of all men. He made wealth free of filth, free of blood shed and free of dubious activity and most of all lived a free and man of peace, all because he chose wisdom. Solomon chose wisdom when it mattered most in his life. And his life as a matter of fact becomes what matters.

The gains of wisdom can never be over-emphasized nor its efficacy in making out of our youths the desirable of all. For you to live right in this odd world, you need wisdom no matter how little it is if put under measure. Wisdom is good with an inheritance; and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. For wisdom is a defense and money is a defense: but the Excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. (Ecclesiastes 7: 12 KJV).
