For e.g. a child pulling at its mother's shirt needing attention. Can we describe it in one word?
Answers to this question:Attention!
Hmm.. I want the word for the gesture, not what's in the mind of the person pulling at it. :-) Is there a word?
Help: I am tempted to follow through with the lyrics to the Beatles song with this title
No..no..! Not help, not attention. For e.g. if a child comes and pulls your shirt twice to get your attention, would you describe this gesture in one word? Something like how you nudge somebody, lynch on someone etc. :-)
pester
Yank on it
Jerk it
Oi!!
Hey!
