I can't seem to get along with my sister. She is so mean and negative, I try to be there, but she is so difficult. My sister has ran everyone away from her.

Allow your sister to be herself without taking on her problems. The next time you talk, really listen to what she is saying. Substitute "I'm afraid" for every "can't, or won't or other negative thought that comes out of her mouth. Understand that negativity and anger is our way of expressing fear and that fear is usually about our internal insecurity. When she makes you angry (or anyone one) she is touching on your own insecurity about yourself, even though she is outwardly expressing her own inner issues. If you can hear and understand the depth of her fear, you can easily be there for her without being hurt yourself.

Good Luck
