What are the first few things you do after you get up, something other than brushing your teeth and freshening up?

I'm in a habit of going to my balcony & check the weather if its gonna be sunny or rainy. After this I make tea for myself & enjoy it with tv :)

In fact, brushing my teeth and washing my face are all done much later only after my first few gulps of water, then I'll turn the kettle on, open my fridge and see what's for breakfast, turn on the computer...............

The first thing i do daily when i wake up is to reflect on deeds of yesterday,meditate on plan for the day,pray for the success of the day and wake up to assess the home environment before brushing my teeth.

The first thing I do is make coffee! I open the curtains and let the day in. I think about what I'm going to do with my day. I stand in front of a collage I've made on my wall that's packed with images and words that tell me the truth about life and prospect.

Then I switch on my laptop...

Huh. Somewhere in there should be that I go for an early morning walk, I think, to clear my head of dreams and things that are bothering or scaring me. To remind me of the simple and beautiful things about life that are all around me. To help me keep my feet on the ground.

Walk two to three miles. It is easy to skip but the day always goes better when the body wakes up from the inside out. Get the heart and lungs going to put fresh oxygen into your cells. Follow that with a shower and I'm ready for the day.

I can skip the news on TV. I can get coffee and breakfast on the run, if I must. If I'm really in a rush I can brush my teeth when I get to where I'm going.

If I skip that daily exercise, though, it's not going to be a good day.

I pray and do affirmations and visualizations, to remove all the detritus of negative thought entities' connections, during the night...

I do a small prayer, followed by drinking a lot of water, then I go for a jog with my dog. While jogging I usually listen to some prayers again. This is only on weekdays, on weekends I end up cuddling in the bed till I am forced to get up and cook breakfast for my family.
