Ask silly questions for fun and levity; just don't ask silly stuff to waste someone's time. It is good to let our guard down occasionally with silliness. Lighthearted fun is great for relaxation. Besides, aren't we always told that there is no bad question? So ask the question. It may be silly, you may not have thought it all the way through, or you don't even realize that it is silly. In any event, learn from the answer.
