Why did some questions disappear after posted only a day or a short while? Deleted by the askers themselves or who?

I can't answer thios one, because I haven't noticed any of mine being deleted; perhaps the selection of types of questions may cause a person not to see 'their' question(s).

I think this type of question should be targeted at the editors of SearchWarp. It's really not relegated for "opinion" if you seek a definite answer.

Sometimes questions get deleting because they aren't appropriate for one reason or another. Sometimes you might see questions (or answers) disappear if the person doing the asking or answering has their account closed for one reason or another.

There haven't been many of either of these situations for a while.

As one who has posted a few pressing and exceedingly important questions already, my guess is that what happens is that the author of a question will choose a best answer from a pool of answers, and then the question becomes closed.
