A car is a man's pride and joy, so for [any] the woman to be a part of this, the cars have been named ... after women. Another reason may be that a car is known for being delicate, have to be taken care of, just like a woman.

How funny - mine have always (almost) had men's names but maybe that is because I usually drive trucks.... Ralph, Beasty, Midas (Minus actually because everything he touched turned to rust - this was a car too), Oreo (is a boy Tacoma) Frosty the Snowflake (boy)... etc... Marijo
