Will you feel safe, comfortable and guilt-free to be on board the "Oasis of the Seas"?

The most lavish, "Oasis of the Seas" cruise ship is on its maiden voyage from Finland to Port Everglades, Florida. This cruise ship is five times larger than the SS Titanic. It is a floating city that has almost everything you can think of. It cost $1.5 billion to make it and employs 2100 crew member and can accommodate 6,300 passengers.

Well, as one who never went on roller coasters but stayed at the bottom and took photos of friends getting off GREEN (why pay to do what you hate the most in life - throw up?) I think I would prefer about any other vacation than a cruise - would not take the chance of booking one and being sea sick. Have done a bit of sailing in San Francisco and other bays - that was enough of the sea sick routine for me. Not to mention the cost of these tickets? hum.... Marijo

Great answer Marijo. I have never been on one myself and I am a motion-sick and sea-sick kind of person. Thanks for taking time to answer.

this is a PS - as a retired RN I have done too much infection control nursing to feel "safe" on a cruise ship. Marijo

Captain Edward John Smith probably would not; neither would I.

I would certainly feel guilt free as I went on board this magnificent vessel - I bet it would be an absolute hoot to live it up for a week or two whilst your every need is attended to. In fact I'd be jealous of all those that have been able to make its maiden voyage!
