Yes and no. I do suffer from depression and I do take antidepressants but it is situational depression and I hope it is not long term depression.

Also in my profession as a life and business coach, I have to ask clients questions about their mental health. So it is important for me to know this statistic.

I believe living in this world today, everyone (absolutely everyone) from teens to older aged groups has some degree of mental illness (simply put) I am not alone and so are you. It is a natural phenomenon in people who may seem alright and normal but you can tell me there is something in there not known to others.

I have personally known two people dear to me who suffered clinical depression and winter is the worst time of the year. I am glad it is not contagious but I remained strong and I did not let it (the disease) drag me down.

What is truly sad is the lack of attention by many of the experts and agencies on nutrition and the affect of deficiencies and allergies in our consciousness. There are health care providers who offer great information on nutrition, but most just feel its easier to give a pill than change a diet.
