Why do some Q&A questions never get answered?

Some questions numbered higher than 100 are still not answered. Sure, everyone is entitled to forget here or there, but there seem to be quite a few "unattended" questions. Not everyone is unlearned like me...hitting wrong buttons to award points. So, what's your take?

It's a rhetorical syndrome because asking,'Why?",is always the wrong question; asking,"How?"is the preferred format for getting any kind of a suitable answer!

I am beginning to wonder that same thing myself! Maybe people don't have time to do this each day - I was gone all day today.... maybe they don't have a clue? Marijo

I figure that's part of it. Still, it seems a little hit and miss as to when the best answer is selected. I wonder how far back the we could go to find a question with no best answer selected?

I think, some members don't have enough time to do the Q&A and Paul is right, the question should be "How" rather than "Why" it might get a lot of attention and interest. Also, you can increase your community interaction score by answering or asking questions.

Okay. I'm not understanding the "How" and "Why" admonition. Are you saying I should have asked, "How do some Q&A questions never get answered?"

Also, and I see I wasn't clear, the point of the question was why (how?) are there so many questions that people post without going back and selecting the best answer? It seems they post a question and run off to Never Never Land.

I appreciate your help.

I think what Nenita means is when a person asks a question, for example: I want to ask: How to be a better writer? instead of why not be a better writer? But you can always ask questions by using How to instead of why not, why can't.....
