What added features could be made available for featured writers?

We've been thinking about trying to give more control to the trusted writers on SearchWarp. Something like allowing featured writers pick the question of the day to be displayed on the home page, or maybe allowing them to make recommendations for reading outside of SearchWarp. If we could figure out how to do it, we'd let featured writers pick a few of the articles to be displayed on the home page, but we haven't been able to come up with a plan that would work. I guess that's what Page 2 is for.

Any other ideas?

After 3 months of posting on SW I am finally figuring out some of the EXTRAS - I like the photos at the top of the front page showing what question that person has asked and think it is fun and interactive. (You'd never guess I have really jumped into the Q+A part lately, would you?) I think the one thing that would be great is if people rated articles on literary merit rather than giving you low marks because they disagree with what you are writing about. BUT the best thing is dialogue and allowing each to have their say so long as they do it in a civilized way. Thanks for facilitating this wonderful place for writers to expound! Marijo

I think a picture is worth a thousand words. Divine Caroline lets you select a picture for your article and I really like that. I think it creates more interest in an article.

Thanks for creating a space where we belong.

I don't know about users choosing what articles to put on the home page. Perhaps just a vote system for "featured writers pick of the day"
