Article Submission Guidelines

     
 
  The Really Short Version
  SearchWarp is a writers' community.  A writers' community is a place where people write for passion, read for entertainment & understanding and discuss for useful interaction.  If your purpose for submitting an article to SearchWarp falls outside of this (such as for commercial or profit purposes) SearchWarp might not be the place for you.
   
  The Short Version
  Articles submitted to SearchWarp must:
  • Be Unique and Compelling
  • Not be Advertising nor Commercial in nature, or used for affiliate marketing.
  • Not be for Link-Building or SEO, including self-serving links in the body of the article.  (All self-serving links must be at the end of the article.)
  • Not be earn money / get money related or link to such sites.
  • Not be reviews of e-products such as eBooks or application software or link to pages designed to sell such products.
  • Must not link to 'thin-affiliate' sites, sales pages, pages created only to gather email addresses, or sites with little unique content.
  • Not be start or operate an online business related.
  • Not be related to High-SPAM topics, or promoting such items as:
    • Gambling & Casinos
    • Pharmaceutical & Prescriptions Drugs
    • Lending, Mortgages, Credit Cards
    • Affiliate Programs, Network Marketing, MLM
    • Counterfeit Goods
    • Essays & Term Paper Writing Services
    • Weapons & Ammunition
    • Beer or Alcohol
    • Tobacco & Related
    • Hacking/Cracking, Warez, Illegal Downloads
    • Adult Content
    • Excessive Profanity
    • Illicit drugs & related paraphernalia
    • Racial intolerance, violent content
  • Not have the title or author name added to the top of the article body.

All as determined by SearchWarp editors.  SearchWarp rejects far more articles than are accepted.

   
  The Long Version
1. Article Content:
  For articles to be accepted by SearchWarp, articles:
   
  A. Must be original material that is solely owned by you. We do not accept “article mill”, PLR (private label rights) or articles which have been given to multiple people to distribute. This includes articles which are bulk submitted either by hand or with the help of submission software.
     
  B. Must not be an advertisement or of a commercial nature.
    I. Articles which have a primary focus of promoting a person, product, or service are considered advertisements.
  II. Articles promoting multi-level marketing, affiliate marketing, work at home, Internet business and other money-making schemes will be consider advertising.
  III. Articles about business, how to start a business or how to operate a business are considered commercial.
     
  C. Articles must be substantially unique.  We do not accept articles which have just been rearranged or have had a few words changed here and there.  Neither do we accept PLR (private label rights) articles.  It is fine if you want to submit the same article other places under your name, but when other people are submitting the same article, there is a problem.
     
  D. Must not promote the following items, nor link to such websites:
    I. Gambling & Casinos
    II. Credit cards or loans.
    III. Pharmaceuticals / Prescription Drugs / Mesothelioma illness
    IV. Sexual enhancement
    V Matchmaking / Dating
    VI. Search Engine Optimization
    VII. Work from Home / Internet Business / Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) / Get Paid To / Affiliate Marketing ... and other high-SPAM topics, as determined by SearchWarp editors.
    VIII. Counterfeit Goods
    IIX. Essays & Term Paper Writing Services
    IX Weapons & Ammunition
    X. Beer or Alcohol
    XI. Tobacco & Related
    XII. Hacking/Cracking, Warez, Illegal Downloads
    XIII. Adult Content
    XIV. Excessive Profanity
    XV. Illicit drugs & related paraphernalia
    XVI. Racial intolerance, violent content
       
  E. Hyperlinks are allowed but they are the responsibility of the author to ensure they are valid.  Invalid links may be editor or removed by a SearchWarp editor. All links must meet the following criteria:
    I. May not contain more than 3 self-serving hyperlinks, including the links within the author bio, or 6 links total.
    II. Self-serving links must appear at the end of an article.
    III. May not link to websites which may be detrimental to the search engine rankings of any pages within SearchWarp.com.
    IV. May not be affiliate links (Clickbank, Commission Juncti`on, etc.)
    V. May not link directly to file downloads, such as MP3’s, executables, etc.
    VI. Hyperlinks must link to a valid web page which does not return errors such as a 'page not found' error, default pages, or lead to a parking page.
VII. Hyperlinks must not link to web pages or web sites which are not suitable for all ages.
    VIII. Hyperlinks must not use user-redirection, such as the services provided by TinyURL.com.
       
    Articles submitted through SearchWarp which are not qualified to be displayed by SearchWarp because of the above criteria may be considered to be reposted on one of our sister web sites which does allow such content.
       
  F. Images are allowed, but must meet the following criteria:
    I. Must be original material that is solely owned by you.
    II. If images are hosted externally there must be a clear indication that you are the rightful owner.  If ownership is not apparent, images will be removed.
    III. Externally hosted images must be available 24 hours a day, every day.  Articles with broken image links may be removed.
       
  G. May not be a press release.
     
  H. Must not contain content which could be considered any of the following, nor link to such websites which contain:
    I. Pornography / Obscenities / Adult material
    II. Mail order brides
    III. Hacking / cracking / freaking
    IV. Hatred or violence
    V. Radicalism / fanaticism
    VI. Racial or religious intolerance
    VII. Insults / slander / libel / defamation / personal grievances
    VIII. Weapons attainment, creation or use
    IX. Anything illegal, fraudulent or infringes on the legal rights of others
    X. Correspondence with a third party, whether in the format of email, letter, dictation of verbal conversation, etc.
    XI. Articles must be suitable for reading by all age groups.
       
  I. Must be written entirely in the English language.
     
  J. Must not have excessive grammatical or punctuation Errors.
     
  K. If you would like to allow others to republish your article, you may include instructions at the end of your article as long as your instructions are compatible with our terms of service and our guidelines.  If your article requires reformatting to comply with our Terms of Service or submission guidelines, and you do not allow this, do not submit your article to us.
     
  L. Must not contain keyword blocks, or text used only to raise keyword density.  Search engines will find your articles just fine without keyword stuffing your articles.
     
  M. Must contain substantial useful information, other than what is common sense.  If your article is about finding the right widget to buy and says something like "The first thing you need to do before buying a widget is decide what kind of widget you want to buy", your article will probably be rejected.
       
2. Article Formatting:
   
  A. Main Body:
    I. Article Body must be properly formatted with a single linefeed between paragraphs, and no linefeeds at the beginning or end of an article.
    II. For consistency, neither the article title nor the author name should be added to the beginning of the article body. The title and author name will already appear at the top of the article.
    III. Any resource box or other instructions must be placed at the end of the article.
    IV. You should not use bold or strong formatting more than one or two times, as overuse of bold type is a form of keyword stuffing.
       
  B Title
    I. Must use proper capitalization
    II. Must be at least 3 words in length.
    III. For consistency, titles should not be repeated at the beginning of the article body.
    IV. Should make sense and not use unnatural phrasing just to include keywords, which is considered keyword stuffing.
    V. Can not contain any part of a website URL.
    VI. Can not contain any HTML formatting.
    VII. Can not contain a persons name unless they are a public figure.  Author names are not allowed in titles.
    VIII. We’ve seen the best results with titles which ask or answer a specific question, but please do not form a title which alludes to information which is not contained within the article body.
       
  C. Author Bio:
      Must always be written in 3rd person – never refer to yourself as “I”, always refer to yourself as “Jane Doe” (your name). It often helps if you start your bio with your name. (Jane Doe is an accomplished…).
      Give a brief description of qualifications, usually professional experience and/or degrees. Primarily those that show why the author should be respected
      Briefly including all the necessary information, but no more than needed..
      Bio must not appear anywhere except at the end of an article, and may only be one paragraph in length.
      Must contain no more than 2 links or website URL’s.
       
3. Author Account:
     
  A. Terms of Service: To maintain articles on SearchWarp.com or any of IcoLogic, Inc.’s affiliated web sites, the SearchWarp Terms of Service must be agreed to and followed.
     
  B. Accurate Information: All author accounts must contain accurate information, including the first and last name of the person responsible for the article submission. You may hide your real name from public view by using a pen name, but you are still required to register using your real name. Accounts using an obviously fictitious name or a business name in place of a person's name will be closed and all associated articles will be removed.  Pen names may not be celebrity names or names of famous public figures.
     
  C. Pictures of authors must be actual images of the author.  No graphical representations or logos are allowed.
