A Heaven At Its Best

"Am I Dreaming or Is This Memorex?"

Posted Tuesday, October 06, 2009 (46 days 11 hours ago.) Viewed 191 times.

Am I dreaming or is this Memorex? I watched Chicago being voted out of the race for the 2012 Olympics. I still cannot understand, why people of America were so happy and jubilant as a country after not even being considered for the events. I myself thought with my ignorance, and said, how could I enjoy a slap in my face? I remembered, Dear Ole Mom when she said, "The devil will kill self, just to destroy you. She was talking about the hate built up in people's heart and living without even knowing it. They live as right in themselves.

With my educated mind, I said, they have forgotten the nation was overlooked and said Obama failed. I know some will argue. I also know that words can be cut both ways. But, it is hard to see men and women in high positions of so-called leadership, to crawl with the most ignorant of lowliness. Then I think of the ones that agree with them and voted for them. If my Christian Ethics were correct, I would say they are in the right position for God to use them as a footstool for the President of these United States of America.

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplication, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." 1 Timothy 2:1-2

This new era upon which we have entered is rich with the promise of a higher and a universal development of fraternal relations. The great truth, the solidarity of the race, established by God, has locked arms with the greater truth, upheld by Christianity, that all men were meant to be brothers beloved in Jesus Christ. The old days of greed that he inherited appears to be coming to an end. Somehow we have allowed businesses to become too big to fail. AIG is an example.

In the early 1970(s) at Wayne State University in Detroit, the Professor of my Political Science class stated: "It is politically corrupt to allow a business to become too big to fail. Then you know that greed has ripped the nation and no business should be bigger than the nation. Greed has then taken over capitalism." Is that why the filled pockets keep echoing "Socialism, Socialism?" What is Socialism? Public Ownership? Then, "of the people, by the people, and for the people is simply a pretty statement for our country and not reality. It appears that is why greed is afraid of "Main Street." However, I do not have the expertise to say it is. But, I have the Thomas Payne syndrome to say it is.

I do know that our President never stated Socialism. Every adversary starting with Limbaugh stated: "Under the Obama plan, every body gets their share whether they have to work for it or not, including the illegal Mexicans. Then Lou Dobbs came aboard with the same comment...etc. However, to someone as stupid as I, I would say they do not want anyone to do their tricks, hoard monies. We have finances in this country; they are in the pockets.

Satan's legion is on duty because a new generation of society has appeared in response to the growing reversal in human relationship in this country called, the United States of America. Men of every nation and condition are active in the ranks of this change through President elect Obama, the man who carries God on his shirtsleeve. (To me that say, God is his arm).

Social problems, such as vast accumulations of capital, the relations of employer and employee, the enormous reduction of cities, housing the poor, compulsory education, are receiving careful consideration on the part of this statesman. Legislators, and even the ordinary voters are taking note of this downturn from such a strong and blessed nation. If a nation as this is in peril, check the leadership or the lack of leadership.

Christianity takes issue with them and holds that besides the good of self and the good of others, there is another and more powerful incentive to virtue and that is the will of God. Do this and you compose self-good and your neighbor is pleased? Be unsuccessful to do it and the knot of brotherhood is broken and we head towards the reality of kismet or doom. One thing for certain, there can be no permanent real, soul satisfying unification without Christ. He is and must be the core. Dr Clarence Rucker, Jr

"A Lady, Time Honored."

Posted Wednesday, September 30, 2009 (52 days 1 hour ago.) Viewed 285 times.

Time of course is a beautiful word. It symbolizes a point or instance. It is an occasion that has moments that some wish to forget and some wish for it to linger in their memories of life. There is always a moment in time that all will take heed, good or bad, little or big, ugly or pretty, and of course love or hate.

Time deals with an era and an era has no limits as far as time is concerned. Whatever happens in it will be. One thing in time that everyone should be able to relate to is “Love.” It requires one in time to care for another. Some gentlemen may remember the stunning appearance of a particular lady that moved them to excitement. They were overwhelmed by the beauty of the walk, the talk, the smile, and if we are honest, that beautiful being could just do no wrong. They were just perfect.

What about the commitment of marriage and the home?

Once the lady says, yes! That is when a house takes on another beat, and under the new beat of the lady, she places a heartbeat into the house and makes it a vibrant “Home.” The houses on the block can look the same from the outside; however, the inside allows the outside to look as if different. With the love of the family, the home looks warm to the appearance.

Some times that heartbeat makes the whole street appear warm. If you talk to some Realtors, this they can agree with. When that heartbeat ceases, (A love one passes) the time continues to move, then the appearance change. However, when the love of another heartbeat enters, the next lady will bring on another aura of beauty and serene. Although the changes are made, the love, which houses God, is changeless.

Sometimes the heartbeat within the home is beyond the home’s dream. You guessed it; some women are not worthy to grow a home of love. These we do not wish to speak. Why? They speak for themselves. However, the true loving lady of the home rarely gets the praise, especially from our society.

Heaven made a lady with dynamic gifts…

"Conviction of the Holy Spirit, not the Flesh."

Posted Sunday, September 27, 2009 (54 days 15 hours ago.) Viewed 148 times.

Wikipedia says: "A conviction is a strongly held belief that is arrived at after considering personal experiences and any external inputs that may have been encountered. Conviction is a subjective perception, feeling, or suspicion regarding the validity of a concept or hypothesis."

John16: 8. The word conviction embraces a number of biblical expressions in its meaning. Originally it derived from two Latin terms meaning "cause to see." The New Testament uses the terms reproof, conviction, and illumination to communicate the ministry of the Holy Spirit whereby He causes the individual to "see" (understand) truth. When the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, many who had no prior conviction of sin were convicted by the Holy Spirit, which led to their salvation ( Acts 2:36, 37). Christians today should also depend upon this ministry of the Holy Spirit to help them understand truth and respond accordingly.

You would have to have been on Saturn to avoid all the publicity of the O.J. Simpson trials, both of them; so I'll use that as an example. If we say, "The prosecution is pressing to get a conviction against O.J.," what do, we mean? What we mean is that they are pressing to convince the jury of the guilt of the defendant.

When you or I hold a conviction about something, what it means is that we have weighed it and measured it to the point that we have become convinced that it is true beyond a reasonable doubt and that anything that goes against it is false. It is no longer something we hold in the realm of possibility. We have found it to be truth worth defending. However, in any case, the Bible made it clear about adulteryAs Christians, some of us can thank God that to date we have been spared. After listening to the coverage of the case, I know it would be a challenging experience noting a spouse in an uncompromising position with a friend that is a friend of the family.

With that in mind, let me ask you, what religious convictions do you hold? I'm not asking you which convictions you'll allow. What principles are so settled in your mind that they have become facts that cannot be denied and must be defended? One of the reasons a philosophy like multiculturalism can be so widely embraced today is that it takes no conviction to hold it. You don't need to know anything. It's a brainless, a cowardly choice. You don't have to stand up and shield it. You don't have to ponder over the fact that it is illogical, unreasonable, unfounded, and doesn't add up. It's fashionable, so you can even congratulate yourself for being in such a broad stream of prominent people. On the surface, if you don't spend very much time thinking about it, you can view yourself as being accepting and open minded and tolerant. But as Don Hinkle once said, "You can become so open-minded that your brains fall out!"

Multiculturalism is the lord of the lazy. It is the deity of those who don't think. It is the supreme being of those with no sense, who put their feelings over facts. Their common sense is on standby. It is the adoration of the apathetic. Jesus said, "He who is not with Me' is against Me;' and he who does not gather with Me' scatters." He also said, "No one comes to the Father, except through Me.'

God says, "You shall have no other gods before Me.'" How can anyone say they believe these things, and then embrace something like multiculturalism? How can you say there is one God, one way, then nod your head in agreement with those who say there are many gods and many ways and they all should be viewed as equally true?

To have conviction we must live according to the Spirit of God and not the flesh. We are warned not to live according to the deeds of the flesh but be led by the Spirit. If we live according to the flesh, we will die. Romans 8:13 says: "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."

"Devoutness without Belief"

Posted Thursday, September 24, 2009 (58 days 2 hours ago.) Viewed 77 times.

It is a fearful and apprehensive proof of the deceitfulness and treachery of sin, that one may be at the same time very fanatical for God and very deceitful towards men, lifting up hands of prayer and exhortation on Sundays and stretching out hands of deception and peculation on week-days. I say this is a confirmation of the deceitfulness of sin (Missing the mark). It is relatively a corroboration of the deceitfulness of riches and possessions. God, with superb wisdom and understanding, warns us against "the deceitfulness of riches, which chokes the word and cause it to be it unfruitful."

What do you think He means by the expression, magnified legal tender, watered stock, false bonds, and bogus money. These are examples of the "deceitfulness of riches." Oh, no! This is a dishonest riches, which is quite another thing. It is valid wealth that deceives. It promises absolute happiness in huge accumulations, and sets a man to ruthless striving with all his capacity to achieve and attain them; and in this ruthlessness he is trapped in the snares of speculation or conjecture, or knotted in the wiles of peculation, and all of a sudden, the trap is sprung, and he is plunged into hopeless ruin. To some it has been so devastating, that suicide is a better alternative.

The Bible warns beforehand, "They that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows , which, while some coveted after they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." 1 Timothy 6:9-10 (KJV.)

Some argue , " A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things" Ecclesiastes 10: 19 (KJV.)

I myself say to you, not the laughter of the fool (senseless one), which is madness and lunacy or the duped one, but that of wise men, that fit themselves for business and commerce and serious studies.

Money provides nothing; it will not clothe or feed you; but, it is the instrument or tool of commerce, it provides all the needs of this present life. However, it provides nothing for the soul (spirit, heart, core, essence); it will not pardon your sin, it will not give you favor of God, and will not give one a peach of conscience.
