Many people want to start their own businesses but it is really hard work and you have to be consistent. There are many ways to tell if you have what it takes to succeed in the business world. There are thousands of businesses started everyday and a very small percentage manages to reach their goals. Why? The first and most important thing is knowledge. Many people start small businesses without having the proper knowledge of that particular business. Then you have the finances. Many small businesses fail because they don't have enough money to stay around. In order to avoid these pitfalls one has to make a plan to get the proper capital before you even start. One thing I recommend if you are even thinking about starting your own business, is to say money. Try to get your family and friends involved. I had a friend that hot married and his family gave him thousands of dollars at the wedding. Your friends and family do have the money to support you they just have to think its a great cause. You need as much help as you can get so make sure you get the capital to get a nice start on your business. Think of your business like a marriage and you will be committed for the rest of your life. Here are a few characteristics an entrepreneur should have.

  1. Knowledge about the business
  2. Creativity, this will make your business unique
  3. Fast thinking. You must be able to react quickly with your business decisions
  4. Organizational skills
  5. Finance, must have start up capital.
  6. Must be able to speak in front of crowds
These are just a few qualities a business leader should have. I hope this helps with your decision to become an entrepreneur.

How To Put Your Personality In Your Marketing To Grow a Small Business

Posted Wednesday, March 11, 2009 (257 days 8 hours ago.) Viewed 7 times.

Over the years I have learned some great ways to build brands with little or zero dollars. One important way to build your brand is by putting your personality in your marketing and branding.
How can you do this? Well, I used youtube to bring over 200,000 people to my website in one month. I consider myself to be something of a comedian so me and my partner put together a cartoon that featured hip hop artist 50 cent. We hired an artist to draw the cartoon and my partner did all the voices. Luckily he is a fantastic actor and he nailed every voice perfectly. We then loaded the cartoon on youtube and we became instant celebrities. The cartoon was placed on thisis50.com by 50 cent himself and we received 50,000 hits in just one week of the cartoon. Many popular blogs took notice and posted the video also. We ending bringing over 200,000 people to our website in one month. This was an example of being in the right place at the right time because thisis50.com was just started and they were looking for content to place. Now they are receiving millions of hits a month so it would be a bit harder to get content placed on the website now. This is a perfect example of us putting our personalities to work. This idea may not work for you but take a look at what is in your reach. Do you play an instrument? Do you have a pet that would make a funny video? Find something in yourself and post it to youtube, you never know you may be the latest youtube sensation.

Tips on putting your personality in your branding and marketing
  1. Be funny and original (funny videos get more attention)
  2. Post them to youtube and then post it everywhere you can facebook etc..
  3. Find something inside of you everyone has a unique quality
  4. Use a pet, a funny friend, instrument, costume etc...
  5. Let the world get to know you as a person

How To Use Excel To Organize Your Social Networking

Posted Monday, March 09, 2009 (258 days 22 hours ago.) Viewed 23 times.

One great way that I found to help organize my daily social networking is by using excel. Almost everyone has a copy of excel but very few people use it. I found that it really helps me keep track of numbers and it really helps me to see whats working and whats not working. There are many sites that we use to bring people to our websites but we all know the best way is pay per click. Here is a way that you can organize the myspace, youtube, twitter, facebook and the other social networks that you may use to promote your small business. You can easily set up columns for each social network

                                              Date
                                              Mon            Tues             Weds              Thurs              Fri

Myspace                                1
Twitter                                    10

You could use this technique to keep track of how many friends you save or how many videos you uploaded etc...

This really helps me keep track of my daily activities online.

Will Chris Brown's run in with the law ruin his career?

Posted Friday, March 06, 2009 (261 days 12 hours ago.) Viewed 33 times.

Chris Brown recently was arrested because he hit his girlfriend at the time Rihanna. Not only did he hit her but reports say he threatened to kill her. Chris Brown is being roasted in the media and he has already lost two endorsements. The main question is, will this ruin his career? Many think so, but he does have a chance if he can prove that it was just a terrible mistake.

Domestic violence

Women have been fighting domestic violence for years and we have seen many celebrity relationships in the public eye fall apart because of it. Tina Turner and many others. There are many organizations that help women that may have experienced domestic violence. For many domestic violence is the toughest to deal with because many women depend on the person that is abusing them. They usually are afraid to press charges because they are not sure where they will go.

Rihanna is totally different from the average because she is a very successful singer so there is no reason why she would have to stay in an abusive relationship.

Chris Brown's career

Chris Brown has been very successful in his career and he was being called the next MJ. Now, he will be considered a bad boy much like a Bobby Brown. Domestic violence against women is a hard thing to come back from. Many people have pulled Chris Brown's records and want to use him as an example of what not to do. It's not that people hate Chris Brown its just they need someone to make an example of. They want to show men what happens when they hit on a women. Don't do it is the message that society wants to send to future abusers. Will this ruin Chris Brown's career, well it could. The only way he can come back from this is if he started an organization for battered women and helped other women that were battered. This would make people understand that he is really trying to change.
