Since the psychology of lying takes place at a level that the brain
cannot perceive... that is, we cannot "see" what it is that causes the
lying, then how can I explain what we cannot see?
Well, we create what the brain can deal with, which are abstract words that "stand for" what the brain cannot perceive.
Let us begin with the basic concept that the physical brain is not the
same as the MIND. In point of fact, the MIND is a subtle
vibrational energy that exists simultaneously with the physical body
and both within the same space. Current psychology has, for about
a century now, practiced an active denial of both the MIND and
Spiriutal realms within the human being. As a consequence much of
what you are about to be exposed to will seem quite unfamiliar... and
this is just the way it is.
One role of the MIND is to prevent one from discovering itself... and
it does a very good job, does it not? About 95% of those in
mental health today have no idea what the MIND is, so it does
effectively keep itself hidden.
Lying is just one way ones MIND helps keep itself hidden. Rather
than take a chance that ones attention will be pulled within, to attend
to some stimulated emotion within ones MIND, the MIND with its
own self-deception as its prime objective, quickly feeds thoughts
to the brain focusing it outside of oneself upon people, places and
things as "responsible" for what one is experiencing. This
naturally occurring practice of the MIND is a basic way in which it
lies to us.
In the case of a repressed fear within ones MIND realm, when it
is stimulated [by any number of reasons] one becomes anxious and begins
to experience some sense of fear, but before one can "own" this "fear"
as ones own, ones MIND quickly feeds Delusional Thoughts to ones brain
that directs it to some person, place, or thing outside oneself as
being "RESPONSIBLE" for causing what one is experiencing.
This dissociation of responsibility is the essential factor in a person
lying. To the MIND [which does not deal in guilt...this is a
function of conscience, which is a part of ones Apapsyche (Operational
Energy of ones Soul)] a lie is simply a matter of dissociation,
period. The MIND is a machine that does its duties without
bothering with morality. This point helps us better realize how
some personality types can routinely lie, and have no remose about
doing so at all. All the MIND of each has to do is keep the
attention of the person away from his/her conscience. A key to
such people is that there must be a rather intense fear of self within
their MINDs.
Routine or habitual lying is the result of ones MIND initially keeping
one from becoming aware of the fear within oneself, and this
"protection" then becomes habituated and a general means of
dissociation from personal responsibility. The greater the
repressed fear, the greater need one has to lie or distort the truth,
and to dissociate oneself from having any personal responsibility.
The primary fear that drives such need to dissociate is a fear of being
"wrong". This fear is not, as the reader might imagine, a fear of
doing something wrong, but it is a fear that who and what one is, is
wrong. That the source of all wrong in the world is due to who
and what one is, in other words. To consider this from an adult
perspective, this would seem silly. But, from the perspective of
an infant, who is experiencing his/her mother's intense fear of giving
birth... and his/'her MIND is telling him/her that he/she is
RESPONSIBLE for this fear... one begins to imagine the intensity of the
fear of oneself being 'WRONG" that is hidden within this person's MIND.
The MINDs of such people develop a personality type that causes the
person to focus intensely outside of him/herself on those needing help,
so the person can be seen as doing "good"... which is a way to
behaviorally mask the fear of being "WRONG". Such people
intensely fear anything that would cause them to reach within
themselves to touch the emotionality of their MINDs. Such people
fear taking personal responsibility for their own actions, and thus
habitually blame people, places, and things as being responsible.
In order to prevent the exposure of this fear, the MIND views lying as
of no significance at all. This then is the underlying
motivational factor behind those personality types that habitually lie,
or fear taking personal responsibility for anything. One can view
such personalities in politics, and one party in particular tends to
draw these personality-types. Which party prides itself in "taking care of " people who refuse to assume responsibility for themselves?

this sounds kind of like a circular reasoning. If the mind attempts to hide itself, why are we able to create forms of art? its only possible to see beauty with the help of a creative conscience. After reading this, I feel no more knowledge that before I started. Could you elaborate more?
Struggling to understand being married to a person who constantly lies to me and seems to feel no remorse for it, also who manages to blame ME for everything . . . This has made more sense to me than anything else I've read. I might also add that we are political opposites, and I don't need to tell you which party my husband belongs to!
I find this article both fascinating and of some insight, into what seems to be becoming a problem and concern to me. I have a teenage child who seems to suffer from pathological lying. Not just your typical lying, but extraordinary stories to family, teachers and even close peers.
