Here’s a fast and easy way to make homemade cherry danish. The short cut is in the refrigerated bread sticks—no mixing or kneading dough.

2 (11 oz.) tubes refrigerated bread sticks

1/3 cup butter, melted

1 tablespoon sugar

1 cup cherry pie filling

1 cup confectioners sugar

1-1/2 teaspoon water

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

You will need a greased 15x 10 x 1-inch baking pan.

Separate breadsticks into twelve sections, but make sure to leave them coiled. Place breadsticks onto baking pan. Brush generously with butter and sprinkle with regular sugar. With your finger or a spoon, make an indentation in the top of each breadstick piece. Fill with 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.

Combine confectioners sugar and water to make a thin icing. Drizzle over warm rolls.
