Have you ever felt like spying on your spouse’s computer because you felt that they were up to no good in internet chat rooms?
Spying on what your spouse does on their PC is not necessarily an indication of obsessive jealousy because there are occasions when it becomes impossible to ignore the signs that your spouse is up to no good on the computer.
Chat rooms are notorious venues for cyber affairs and there are sophisticated software programs available which will record just about anything that is seen and said online without someone knowing.
It is not always necessary to go to the drastic step of installing secret software on your spouse’s computer as there are simpler methods available of finding out what they are doing on their PC.
If you can get access to your spouse’s computer then archives which hold a record of all chat conversations can often be found inside a folder belonging to the chat client software on the hard drive. Archiving is not always enabled by the user however but if it has then the archives can be viewed with freely available programs.
If the chat archives are not enabled then the only way of checking what is being said and done in the chat rooms is to install software which will record everything typed and even screenshots of what has been viewed on the computer. This record can be sent to you via email without your spouse knowing.
If your spouse is computer-savvy it can be difficult and dangerous to install spy software on their computer without them finding out and if they do then things could get out of hand. Although most spy programs are very sophisticated and almost impossible to detect there still remains the remote possibility that they could be discovered by someone who is computer literate.
If you do eventually find out that your partner is cheating online then you will then have to decide what to do. It can be difficult to confront your spouse with the evidence you have discovered without leaving yourself open to accusations of spying on them. This can often allow them to deflect the blame from themselves but the alternative is to let the doubts and suspicions eat away at you and suffer in silence.
However painful it is to discover that your spouse is a cyber cheat it does not mean the end of the marriage as it can be just a temporary addiction brought on by lack of communication between you. In fact it can be wake-up call and a catalyst of change for the better.
