I have slightly wavy and extremely frizzy hair. It's always been a problem to find products that allow me to style my hair so that I'm not tempted to hide it underneath a cap all day.
One of my friends recommended the products of Curly Hair Solutions™ to me, so I thought I'd give it a try to see what it was that she loved so much.
The Curly Hair Solutions™ products were formulated by Jonathan Torch, a hair stylist in Toronto, Canada. The whole product line is water-based - there are no silicones in any of it. At first, that made me skeptical. Hair always gets frizzier the more humid it is outside, so I expected my hair to react similarly to these products as it does to the humidity. But much to my pleasant surprise, it didn't. In fact, the blend of ingredients in these products (all natural and biodegradable) did control the frizz-factor of my hair, as well as made it a lot softer.
So far, I've only used a couple of the products - the ReMane Straight™, which I applied to my hair before blowdrying it to help straighten out the waves that I do have in my hair, and the Silk Leave-In Conditioner, which works like regular conditioner without the need to rinse it out. I had been worried that I would get product buildup from a conditioner that shouldn't be rinsed out, but I didn't and it actually left my hair quite soft - a result of the silk amino acids in the product.
Even though these products cater towards those with curly hair, I found that they worked quite well with my wavy hair as well - better than what you can buy in drugstores, and comparable to the products you can find in a salon. Plus, Curly Hair Solutions™ is a lot more affordable than the products you buy in a salon. I would highly recommend these products to anyone who needs help controlling their curly, frizzy hair.
