As we go through life investigating miracles such as Bernadette of Lourdes our scientific community looks for an explanation. In doing such they try to diminish the supernatural or possibility of the intervention of God in mans world. Yet, signs and wonders surround each and every instance. Of course this is all contributed to mass hallucination and other scientific explanations. Yet we who believe know that the only thing that is required is faith and belief. As God states, if you have the faith of a mustard seed you could say to a mountain move and it would.
But that mustard seed seems to be far off for most of us. It is a belief without doubt and an utter faith God hears us and will respond. However, it is that split second of rationalization and doubt, like Peter experienced when he was walking on the water, that fail most of us. He walked as long as his eyes were fixed on Jesus. As soon as he said for that split second I really can’t be doing this he failed. Oh God heal my faith and all who believe we must pray constantly!
In fact a Muslim army had once besieged Lourdes many years before the miracle. There was no hope for that town. However, it was contributed to the Blessed Virgin Mary as the one who converted the head of that Muslim army and his entire army to Christianity. In fact many years later the miracle of Lourdes, which was a different miracle was investigated then and now by well know scientists as it continues to be. As they investigated they became more perplexed because they had no explanation as it is now.
So it was at Fatima, Guadeloupe and other sites throughout the world where the Blessed Virgin was reported to appear and miracles followed. Those were miracles of faith with no human explanation neither found nor required and as it happens to this day.
You see we may be intelligent but it does not mean we know everything. Actually the church and science are not at odds. Scientists have just not found what all believers acknowledge. These are like Thomas who had to place his hand in the side of our Lord in order to believe.
Now why would a God who asks us to trust and have faith in Him neither want nor have to prove His power? Has He not already done all that in creation? Are we that proud and arrogant in our humanness that we dare challenge God? Yet, these skeptics search and search for an answer to their being right. That God does not exist and that man has the capability to do all. Is not the act of trust and faith the most loving act we can perform? Does not an innocent child who has no ability to think through a process place all their trust in the one they perceive loves them and will not harm them? Yes, they will jump when told to knowing in trust that parent will catch them. There is no doubt in them. They have the purest faith and trust.
Too bad we destroy that through our pride and intellect and zeal seeking to rise to the top. In fact as we look at the condition of the world today we see the arrogance of man everywhere. I just deleted a recent article because of that very reason. It points to man’s corruption and pride. It demonstrates mans conceptual belief that he is capable of all.
So here is my belief and opinion for the world, as the Lord has professed not to me alone but to the world and it is a choice for each one individually to make. In my opinion The Blessed Virgin Mary will be the instrument of love God has chosen to lead us all to Christ and to crush the head of the serpent the evil destroyer, the Devil. For those who shout this is wrong I must clarify that she has never diminished in any of her messages, nor in any of the prayers many Christians express that Christ is first or any less! She urges us to seek Her Son.
Yet, many Christians and even the Muslims do not recognize this yet. However, Muslims do recognize Jesus and His mother who are held in high esteem because Mohammed’s own daughter was named Fatima. So just as that Muslim leader was converted so will the masses of Muslims but after much trial, death and agony for this sorry planet. “Oh Mary conceived without sin have mercy on us who have recourse to thee" should be the battle cry of all Christians everywhere.
As for us Christians who find fault with this belief that is your choice. However, let me present this for you to ponder. Why would anyone who truly loves his human mother doubt that Jesus Himself would do any less for His? Therefore and according to the Word He has raised her up for glory and honor and through faith, love, compassion and mercy and His obedience to the Word of the Father in Heaven as in the Commandments. Yes, the world will be changed through Her efforts for Christ.
In fact at Fatima the prophesy of Mary to the seers was that Russia was to be consecrated to Her Holy and Immaculate Heart otherwise Russia would continue to spread her deceit throughout the world. We know this has not happened as it was stated it should but changed as man desired. Can we say that Russia is still not spreading her errors? One might ask why religious have deviated from this message from heaven that they acknowledge as from God?
Medjagorie and other holy sites have come before war as in the Balkans and as at Fatima before the First World War. In fact if we investigate the Northern Lights we will understand when they first appeared.
So in closing, even if there were a scientific explanation in the future for all of these rational thinkers and they would place their hand in the side of Christ as Thomas did, I leave you with this question. Just who is man to question how God uses His creation to enlighten and save? Certainly we who believe God can accept anything in any way he chooses to reveal and find no fault in any of that.
