Yes, a question that many will ignore, which is perhaps one of the most important questions of this new century.
Have we reached the precipice would most likely lead you to think I am writing about biblical prophesy from many faiths. Quite the contrary, I use the signs and symbols of the age to ask this important question. I offer you fact and my opinions to illustrate a concern, which I feel is real. Too real to be comforting and yet, Americans sit in their Lolliepop world and think they are safe.
Just what are these signs and symbols you ask? No bravado here just common sense. Those of you who are familiar with my writing know that for the last two years I have been espousing certain things. They also know that these issues are all of a sudden now being repeated each and every day by well know columnists in major papers a and on T.V.
That aside, the topic of this article involves China and a host of other problems impacting our nation. We are in the process of trying two Chinese who became citizens and were given access mind you to the most sensitive technology and information our military possessed. We owe billions to China in trade deficits and that continues to build. China has just become the first nation to destroy a satellite in space. A Chinese sub just recently surfaced adjacent to one of our newest carriers and no one could explain how it did that? China has been taking our money from our trade deficit and building one of the most formidable military machines in the world. Needless to say they do not need boots on the ground. They have been expanding their invasion capability.
Now I’m no military genius nor am I a military man but if I may ask this question. Just why it is necessary?
You see behind every military buildup throughout history there is a reason. Just ask a military person and they will give you a host of examples.
Lets consider this. Do you think we a threat to them? If yes, how? If not then just who is a threat to them? Russia you say. Ok, Russia may still have a nuke capability but it is severely pressed at this point for military confrontation with a nation the size of China. Then whom may I ask once again?
Now a while ago I asked a question of anyone still remembers the “Communist Manifesto"? That’s what you say? Well hats the point. If we look at any nation on earth that is Communist we see China leads the pack. Oh, they are re turning to free enterprise you say? Well then you have read the manifesto and you forgot a few short years ago in a certain square in that country?
Ok, lets place China on a shelf and look at religious zealots and terrorists. Do we see any possible problem in Pakistan and Turkey? Ok ask any well-versed bible prophesy person about Turkey and you will get an ear full. But, that aside what if these nations turn radical or provide a nuke to terror groups? Never will happen you say? Remember it is not the majority who rules just that mistaken belief.
Now we turn to North Korea and do you think we don’t have a problem there? What about Palestine and Israel? Is there a potential there? How about the Sudan, could we have an issue here? Don’t forget the Baltic region now. Do you really think they are at peace?
So lets swing to Venezuela and other nations in South America. Why are they turning against us when they should really be embracing us? Why you ask? Well NAFTA, The North American Union, billions going into their economies. What else does one need to say? Go to Disney any day and see the free trips provided by our government and business.
As for Mexico, they can’t even control their own lawbreakers and they have overwhelmed our borders and lowered our standards and wages. What about the millions of illegal [ok it is a fact -illegal workers not undocumented] what is that excuse but a diversion to the truth? Oh I stole, but I really borrowed from you. Yet, our government makes a paltry effort to stop them. Do you think there is potential for harm among some of them? This was never as open as issue as now. In my opinion our politicians have already bought into “Comprehensive reform" and most Americans don’t even know what the hell they are approving. Just ask the border agents who go to jail before drug smugglers. What you say, enough said. Just to be polite.
The dismantling of America in my opinion has placed undue harm right at our doorstep. We cannot even make enough bullets here at home and we have to farm out their making offshore. OK I’ll say it once again, we have to farm out the making of bullets and the country making them has stopped. I mentioned this over a year ago and it is just now in the paper. What about all the other military components that are made off shore and are required for our military to function? Yes, and all in the name of Free markets and profit? Yes, its true, “ Money has no allegiance to anything but in making more money."
Well what about boots on the ground and military conventional forces. They my fellow American are thousand of miles away in Iraq serving three, four and five tours. The military will take anyone they can now. Think not then check into it.
Well we still have the reserves you say. Ok does anyone remember Pearl Harbor or Cuba? At Pearl Harbor we were in the same mess we are now. We had all our eggs in one basket and that basket disappeared. Well-known military historians now conceded the West coast was wide open for invasion. Yet you ask our military the same question about our Southern border and they give you the reserves.
Well here is fact. It took months to gear up and our men on Corrigedor, Wake and Batann paid the price. We had the same mess in Grenada with a minimal enemy force to contend with .Do you really think these reserves will jump out of bed and be ready to fight? Do you think we can protect our Southern Border? Do you really think so?
Listen my poor fellow in my opinion we are in bad shape. I would certainly like to be wrong and happy. But if I were given this project I’d be scrambling even as I write. If we are not at the precipice then in my opinion we are fast approaching.
So just what are the signs and symbols of how I formed my opinion? Doomsday prophet, I am certainly not. Religious fanatic, well I do have my beliefs based on faith and signs and symbols and I will not deny it? Perhaps if you don’t believe you can apply some common sense and use religion as a tool to add to your thought process? No, all I use is what I have always used. Yes, sometimes I am wrong but I can say this as fact, I have succeeded more times then not where many have failed and they always Wonder Why?
Well I told you I just use common sense. So take a look at all I mentioned if I stirred your though process. If not, just go back to playing bridge, gold and collecting your dividend check because the truth in my opinion is “making money has only one allegiance and that is in making more money“ and that is all that gets your interest.

Thanks for your help. This automated editing doesn't work so well. I read the appers each day and see the same. However, I learned that you can eye ball and eye ball but what they teach in school is correct. That until someone else edits your work there are bound to be errors. The brain comprehends in a different manner then what we really want to say and not necessarily what we write. Thanks for the corrective advice. It helps to have a proof reader and someone who cares it be correct. Respond to this comment
