Yes! You finally got it! All the sacrifice was not in vain. And oh how you must have sacrificed. Working that extra hour and all the other stuff you must have done has finally paid off.

Alas you bought it, you got it, you own it, and you love it and now you wanna make absolutely certain that you can show it to the grandkids in time to come. You wanna make sure that the money invested in your entertainment does not go down the drain.

Well that's where I come in, with five easy tips that can help you get all that can be gotten from your Playstation console.

Yes I know the feeling, it's new, and it’s like capturing Moby Dick and sitting him down in your living room. You want to touch it, hug it and most importantly... PLAY with it.

That's cool, but there are precautions we must take in ensuring the quality of game-play is enhanced and not disrupted.

Firstly, extended game-play decreases the quality of play. That means after every 2 to 3 hours we should take a break. Pause the game for a couple of minutes, as constant play is a good way to really wreck a console fast. Yeah you know what the means, you can't play Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon for 48 hours straight.

Secondly, give the console some room. It needs to have enough room so that it isn't getting a chance to gather heat from the other machines around it, you know cable box, dvd, CPU stuff like that.

Another good tip is to keep your Playstation away from direct sunlight. Place your console safely away from the day's rays and all will be well.

Tip number four, turn the console off. Make absolutely sure that whenever you're done playing with your PS that the power button is promptly turned off. It would be a shame if you're PS was wrecked when you weren’t even playing it.

And now for tip number five, keep your console like you keep your cereal- in a cool dry place. You can't control the weather but you can control where you put your console in that weather, make sure it's in a place where the temperature is not likely to be ridiculously hot. We want this console COOL.

And that's it! You heard the tips, limit extended game-play, make space for your console, keep away from direct sunlight, turn off your console and keep your console in a cool, ventilated place.

That's pretty easy isn't it? Remember the grand kids deserve to see the next generation in action. So please, take good care of your Playstation.
