Yes, a beautiful Christian song that sums up everything in this day and age. I remember singing this in church and the spirit filling in my soul. You see in my opinion this is exactly what is happening in this current day and age. You see it remains with each an individual God given choice called Free Will.
Now I really do not care that the scoffers, those who trust in man, the unbelievers and those who ridicule laugh and make fun and curse because they also, Prepare the way of the Lord! They are a fulfillment of prophecy according to Gods own Word and they are vital to Gods overall plan. They just do not recognize it.
Now as we look at what is happening in the world, like the replacement of truth with lies, the quest for power, wealth, greed, famine, sickness, poverty wars and rumors of wars and any number of issues concerning exploitation one can see we are Preparing the Way of The Lord.
You see mans folly is that he believes in the systems of man. Mans ideologies and methods. He trusts in his wealth and power and the material things of this world. It could not be any simpler and the results always the same.
Look at society, the killing of people who are innocent in that people are killed on the streets of the world for no reason. Look at the millions aborted each year. Look at the deliberate breaking of laws and oaths by person who have sworn and oath before God and who profess to be Christian. Let’s talk of language, respect and family or is that this is just something we lost which is never to be recaptured?
Does our concerns about weather, the climate, the planet have any possible relationship to what is happening?
And yes, what about security? The ability to look into your very home and hear what you are saying. Wire taps, chips and all sorts of satellites and technological advances. In fact they say in England you are never out of sight in their major cities and what of the laws that can be implemented in a flash that erase all your freedoms. Think not then you do not understand that we are P reparing the Way of the Lord.
Yes, believers know that this must be and it must happen. People Wonder Why every day but I ask Why Wonder? We are doing exactly that which believers know will come to pass. Preparing the Way of the Lord.
Yes, the Lord said these would be the Signs and Symbols for believers to recognize. The Catholic Church even uses this to demonstrate their faith. The signs and symbols are outward expressions of faith, demonstrating you are a believer, the Crucifix, the Sacraments telling all it is He who died for us that they worship. They are there to encourage and support those who need them.
So while we write our articles and ask our questions that we never receive an answer to we are also Preparing the Way of the Lord. We can do no more but continue to get out the message.
You see when they haul you before Kings and Judges and the powerful do not wonder what you will say because He has already said he will give you the words to speak.
No I do not profess to be a priest, a prophet, a seer or anything else but a believer and as such and because I believe I look at the signs and symbols of a decadent age and time and ask myself am I doing enough to be prepared and Preparing the Way of the Lord?
Certainly those who pass the laws, and do the evil deeds but even profess Him all have a role in this and we all hasten His coming we are all in our own way Preparing the Way of the Lord.
So in closing m ay the God of mercy Bless you and prepare you for His coming so that you may be found worthy and may you continue your role in Preparing the Way of the Lord . Peace and love.

Perhaps you're right our task here on Earth is probably preparing his way. I personally believe every ear has heard the truth (or most of it) Perhaps every eye must see before they do believe. however if every heart felt, then there would be less work for us as well as him. Respond to this comment

Robert, a beautiful message with explanations only a believer would accept. He's been preparing us as well. So, when the time comes, if we have taken a committed stance, we'll be ready. Avis, the Lord has evidently had a hand in your work. certainly your thoughtful writings are an inspiration to many.
