When I started my web site, I was not expecting over 30% of my web site visitors to enter my site from the male pubic hair removal web pages. A lot of men are interested in learning how to remove their pubic hair but do not know how to start as most of the pubic hair removal products and services are catered mainly for women.
Let's take a look at the popular pubic hair removal techniques used by women to find out why they may not work for men.
Why Brazilian Waxing Isn't Practical For Men
Some Brazilian waxing studios accept male customers at a higher price. Unfortunately, most men are reluctant to visit a waxing studio as they feel extremely out of place there.
Some men will find the prospect of showing their private parts to a total stranger very embarrassing. The pulling of hair from the ultra sensitive skin of the testicles isn't a good idea. Most women feel sore after the wax strips are removed from their pubic region for a day or two. Can you imagine if you did the same thing on a man's testicles? I bet he wouldn't be able to walk properly for a couple of days!
Warning: Male Electric Shavers Are For Your Face Only
Here's a lame idea I got from my research - Using an electric beard shaver on your pubic hair. I don't understand why people would risk getting skin irritations on their private parts like that. Anyway, if you plan to use one, please remember to use a different shaving foil for your pubic region for hygiene purposes.
How Razor Blades Bite You Down There
Women have the availability of leg shavers for shaving their pubes. Although this isn't the best tool to use, at least they have leg shavers while men don't. I do not recommend using any traditional razor blade on the sensitive pubic region because it may cause pubic rashes, pubic pimples and ingrown pubic hair. Don't believe me? Try shaving your balls with a razor blade and I guarantee you'll feel a terrible burning sensation all over your testicles due to the razor burns.
Pubic hair removal techniques for women just won't work as well for men simply because our private parts are different. However, there are specialized pubic hair shavers that work great for both sexes. A pubic hair shaver that I personally use and recommend is the "Body Bare" shaver. All the problems associated with removing your pubic hair will be a thing of the past with this tool. If you're still thinking about being a cheapskate by using normal shavers on your family jewels, I urge you to stop. It's just not worth it.

Wow, i have really gotten a good laugh just from reading many of these comments. So many of you are clueless about this whole hair removal thing, especially the author of the artlicle.
FIrst of all, shaving your pubic region is ridiculous to begin with. It only lasts a day or two, can cause ingrown hairs and razor burn, and it simplt not worth the hassle.
Despit what the author claims, when done properly, waxing is by far the best method of hair removal - not including laser treatments (expensive, and not guaranteed to be permanent), or electrolysis (Permanent, but the most expensive method).
Waxing will not cause a person to be unable to walk for several days! I do it myself, and I am completely fine afterwards. No bumps, no ingrown hairs (but one may sprout up from time to time), and no pain following the treatment. I use nothing but the best waxes and waxing supplies. And I know very well how to do it properly. Yes, it does hurt a bit, but the pain only lasts a few seconds. It does not hurt after that, and it lasts an average of 15-25 days. This means a pretty long time being totally hair free, itch free, and completely smooth. I wax mmy legs, underarms, and arms as well. But, I am not very hairy by nature.
Oh, I can just hear it now. "Men aren't supposed to do that!" Come down off of your ultra masculine high horse! I don't care if it is considered to be feminine. I really don't care what you may think of it. Its my choice, and that is what I choose to do. Period.
As far as going to a salon or spa to have it done, good luck even finding one who will perform male Brazilians. The vast majority of esthesticians are female, and who can blame them for not wanting to do this kind of thing. One of the main reasons is that there are way too many perverts out there who would do it for sexual reasons, and these women simply do not want to take that chance, and get one of those people as a client. And I do not blame them one bit.
As for claims that it would be embarassing being naked for a total stranger, yes it may be for some. But get over it. How many of you expect women to do these types of things? You don't think they feel the same way about it, and that they are not embarassed by it? Yeah right! Lots of women are embarassed by the thought of being naked in front of a total stranger. But, that total stranger is a professional, and most likely has seen many, many people naked before. Its nothing new to them for sure. Its part of the job. So, both sexes, get over it. I mean like how baby-ish can one get!
In short, waxing is the way to go in terms of genital hair removal.
BTW, there is no significant difference between a mans razor, and a woman's razor. And if you are going to shave there, take the time to learn how to do it the right way! It is NOT a matter of simply putting shave cream on the area and just shaving away! And shave cream is NOT the best thing to use. There ar pre and post shaving processes which must be done if you are going to avoid razor burn and ingrown hairs. And the shaving itself is a learned technique, it takes a little knowledge to do it the right way. Take the time to research it, and learn the proper methods.
The level of ignorance in this world never ceases to amaze me, and this topic is one of those very areas where - men especially - are plain ignorant. Sorry if you don't agree with me, but it is soooo true. I've been around long enough, and dealt with these types of issues enough to know ignorance when I see it. Plus, I am entitled to my opinion, like anyone else. And that, folks, is my opinion. Respond to this comment

Whatever. Iam taking it that you were born with one hundred percent knowledge
as you said, its your choice and your opinion, so why are you sharing it with us? "men are plain arrogant"? "to know ignorance when i see it"? "the level of ignorance in this world"? you're a prime example of that last one. keep these kinds of thoughts to yourself
you obviously have been made fun of for waxing... just say "you wax" or "if I was you, I would wax it." then give reasons why this is a good idea. stop thinking about others judging you and be a man -- get to the point! Respond to this comment
Dude, you are wrong on every count. Find me one salon that waxes mens balls and shaft, rather than just the area around it, and I'll go to get waxed. The fact is, waxing testicles would be nearly impossible. So we shave. There ARE differences in men and women's razors, most notably the safety wires on women's razors. Also, you seem so paranoid. Men and women don't have to live in those roles you are so past anymore. Respond to this comment

Google search "pubic hair removal for men near (city) (state)" and you'll find many salons that offer Brazilian waxes for men on their menu of services. I had everything (balls, shaft, pubic area above except for a 'landing strip') done in a professional setting at a reputable spa.

I Used to shave everything 2 to 3 times a week and I finally decided to go get a guys brazilian. The differnce is amazing. It lasts 4 to 6 weeks and the pain on my balls only lasts a day or 2. I also find the girls there very good. It is actually a sugaring. Not quite as hard on you.

AMEN! I am 55 and on my birthday, I treated myself to my first Brazilian wax at a spa. WOW! The staff and service were beyond compare! After shaving once or twice a week for years, I am now smooth for a month or more! If you shave, I would buy ladies razors that have the little wires over the blades to protect the 'boys'. Noxema used to make them, but quit for some reason. Schick Quattro is the best second choice.

Is this really a problem that other men face daily? I was just curious. I wish someone would write and comment about how nice it is to get rid of a drunken wife finally after 21 years. I even think it is more important on how they go door to door saying they are Christian and can't wait to get home and polish off a bottle of Crown Royal.
Yet I have seen many things on the Mental Health of Jehovahs's Witnesses. Probably from being lied to as the Watchtowers Program to WHAT their Faith is GOING to BE or "ELSE."
It was funny how my Ex and her sister would hide behind their jehovahs witness faith and now even her sister could strap LED Lights around herself and replace the Good Year Blimp.
So many girls look so hot when you date them but as time goes on they balloon out to 230+ pounds and try to blame it on the kids they bore.
Alcoholism is not a disease, it is a Hidden lifestyle that so many choose, I think mainly so many women are unhappy because they failed to learn how to run a home like their Mothers did. The Supermarkets today are full of Frozen Foods sections that get bigger and bigger because they simply can't cook or bake. Their own children have TV's for babysitters and the kid's don't read anything.
More and more I see why men leave their drunken Fat Women and turn gay...

Well, the author of the original article, Natalie Williams, certainly made it clear that she was selling the "Body Bare Shaver" and that no other hair removal technique for male pubic hair removal was acceptable. Some of you that have replied have given your various success stories (or should that be your stories of varying degrees of success?) for which if they work for you then I'm fine with it. Keep doing whats best for you. I have been shaving my pubs for 32 years (maybe longer) and have yet to experience an ingrown hair. I do use a woman's razor, the Gillette Venus to be percise. I did use men's disposable razors early on and truely, I was not all that happy with the results. Then, several years ago I found that the woman's razor handle was curved differently. This I thought gave the floating blades a better angle for shaving the testicles, you know...the scrotum (and behind), as well as the penile shaft and the pubic mound. I also shave the inside tops of my thighs about 1and 1/2" down the inside of each leg from the joint of the testicles sack. Finally, I bought the Venus and, coupled with the gell shaving cream, I find that I get a great and smo-o-o-o-o-o-th end result. I just absolutely love caressing my hand over my freshly shaved pubic area. My girls love that they don't have to pick cock hairs out from between their teeth! I usually shave once per week, so the growth allowed by the end of each week isn't even 1/4"! I insist that my women, all of my women, be hair free from the pubs on down around the vaginal lips, all the way to the "back door" hole. I find it so much easier to drive them really, really wild when I apply my well trained tongue to outter and inner labia. I'd like to have a woman with a pierced tongue, I think. Maybe I should have mine pierced, too? I can be contacted at me e-mail address if any one wishes to discuss this farther. First hand, perhaps. Chow!!

How can a person wax his pubic hair?? its just impossible... waxing my hands give me goosebumps... cant even think of doing that with my pubic hair....pls if anyone has found a reasonable hair remover cream than contact me...
The Gillette Fusion is the best because the blades are closer so its less likely to cut u also it ends up smoother. but don't shave without shaving cream.

i used scissors, then a beard trimmer with no guard (careful, got one nick, but no big deal). Then shaved with Gillette Fusion and no problem. But it's not a 100% job, and 24 hours later I'm itchy and ready for the Nair. I used it years ago and it burned a little but was worth it - totally smooth.
I used nair years ago when I wanted to go smooth, burnt the hell out of my sack! Were talking about putting caustic chemicals on your balls here! Theres nothing like being in constant pain/burning and ending up scabby. Your testes are constantly moving to adjust to temperature and clothing! I want to go smooth without shaving or burning the hair with chemicals! Maybe one of those electrolisis systems for about 60.00 will work!

Tweezers. Plucking. Works for me - about 30 minutes once a week, less time than it would take to go to a spa and have a waxing done. And it doesn't hurt at all - many hairs come out with nary a tickle, some feel like a soft little pinprick, the kind that doesn't break the skin. Been doing it for a few years now (after trying the waxing and the creams) and I still find it a great way to stay smooth. Maybe it will get harder to do when you get old and your neck is stiff, but if you have a partner what a way to start your Sunday morning boink, mutual grooming! :-)
