Have you heard or said yourself lately "I AM HAVING A BAD HAIR DAY!"? Something that happens with even the best of hair cuts or styling items and no
matter who you might be. You may not think of this, having a good hair day might just depend on the condition of your hair. If you are not taking the time
to take good care of if, less using the hair dryer days, curling irons, curlers and not getting regular hair trims, then you are going to have bad hair days
.
One thing that is a common thought but not true, it's not listening about getting a regular trimming, which most hair dressers say every 6 to 8 weeks. It's the thought is that if we don't get regular trims while growing out our hair that it will get longer faster. Sorry! But that is wrong everyone.Thats not really what happens. If you go between hair trims longer than the time frame your hair dresser
says is good then what happens is the ends get ragged, and split causing your hair dresser to have to trim off more for your hair to stay in optimal condition.
So the next time you get your hair trimmed ask your hair dresser he/she will know what is best for the style and condition of your hair how long to go between cuts, listen thats their job to know! That will give you a good time frame for how long it will take you to grow out a really bad hair cut or growing it out to the length you want.
Another great for your hair is to Stop Smoking! or Never Pick It UP! That is just a nasty habit, uncool, and just bad for you all the way around. So if you can, stop smoking or just don't pick it up!
For the care of your hair to have healthy hair growth also depends on what you eat. We all need to eat a well balanced diet. Foods high in folic acid are beneficial for healthy hair.
Here is a list of great foods for your hair,

    Good foods are live yogurts
    plenty of fresh vegetables,
    salads and fruits,
cold-pressed oils (think olive, safflower etc),
    linseeds,
    sunflower/pumpkin,seasame seeds,
    wholegrains (brown rice/oats),
    buckwheat,
    almonds,
    figs and dates,
    Drinking lots of pure water.

Here to help out your hair is also a great little idea is after you shampoo your hair, in the second shampoo mix in 1 egg, for bounce and added protein.

Try not to use rubber bands to tie back your hair. Just cause it's good for the newspaper doesn't mean its good for your hair. These days there are covered
rubber bands that can do a better job and tend not to cause breakage. When removing them, do it slow and be careful, those can still cause breakage.
Never speed up combing out your hair when its wet. Try to use a pick first, it will find the knots first if any and are just easier on your hair. Don't rub your
hair hard when drying, damage and breakage of your hair is being self inflicted by hurrying. Wet hair is a lot more fragile than you think.
If needed and use this for sure on a child's hair due to the fact that they tend to be more tender headed, use a spray on detangler as well as a conditioner to aid in combing out yours or
the childs hair. Nothing is worse then hearing a child crying because they don't want their hair combed out cause its got knots in it from washing.
Best bet, use a wide tooth comb first, then if need be us a small tooth comb or even a brush.
Again get regular trims to prevent splitting and just cause of dead ends.

If you have a dry or flaky scalp, try brushing your hair and scalp before shampooing with a natural boar bristle brush. By doing this while your shampooing it gets rid of more of it and your scalp gets a little more care. Some heads of hair just need to be exfoliated several times a day with a good brushing. Try this, before going to bed
put your head down as if to put it between your knees and brush your hair out. It helps to get the scalp at the base of your neck easier and it feels good doing it.

For those who wash their hair while showering, to make your hair super shiny, rinse it in ice cold water. This might be uncomfortable a little but the idea is to rinse your
hair not the scalp or the rest of you. There is a good reason for doing this, the cold water closes down the cuticle layer of the hair leaving it smooth and shiny.

For oily hair or baby fine or limp, avoid putting conditioner on the scalp. Don't just pour it on your hair straight from the bottle, you need to have more control over the
amount and just dumping on your hair adds to the hair on the top of your head, weighing it down, also causes oily hair to get oily faster. The idea is to apply conditioner on the
ends and about half way up to the top of your head stopping about at the tip of your ears. By not putting on your scalp really does make a difference in your hair.

Be careful on the amount of shampoo you use, apply about dessertspoonful of shampoo is good, less for short hair, little more for longer hair. Using more than that in shampoo
is just wasting it and more doesn't mean your hair is going to be cleaner.

Here are a few ideas for stepping up your hair regime by giving it a spa treatment. Here is a few recipes to get your started, or this can just be stepping you a little to change
your hair regime but not doing something full-blowed out , like coloring your hair is a example.
Super simple ideas:

Try Club Soda as a hair rinse.
Rinsing with apply vinegar or sea water makes your hair thicker and fuller looking.
If Blond and want to create natural highlights, then squeeze lemons all over your hair and sit in the sun. This will help bring out your natural highlights. Better still , because we all know that
sitting in the sun is bad for us so try this,
Pull all you hair through a hat rim, like a straw hat missing its top, add the lemon juice cover the rest of you with clothes and suntan lotion, then sit in the sun
Even better, IF you have any champagne left, let it go flat and rinse your blond hair to bring out natural highlights.
Caring for your naturally isn't as hard as one might think. In fact there are food items in your kitchen right now that when mixed together can make things like, all-purpose conditioner,
shampoo, hair masks and more.
Here are two different quick hair conditioners there were made famous in Hollywood because of the damage being exposure to hot lights, over coloring, styling, etc. The actresses needed to
get their hair back into shape as soon as possible.
Number 1 try this:
    Wet hair
Pat with a towel to remove excess water,
then apply 3 to 4 Tablespoons of Mayonnaise.
Wrap your hair in a towel for 30 minutes
    Rinse, then shampoo.
    Number 2:
Combine 2 to 3 Tablespoons of yogurt with 1 egg,
    Wet hair,
massage the mixture into your scalp
    Rinse the shampoo.
For variation and if your hair is oily, you may wish to avoid mayonnaise and try this instead. Try smashing up a very ripe banana and mix it a ripe avocado, and then follow recipe as the mayonnaise. Here is three more quick hair conditioning treatments.
These ingredients can be applied directly to your hair.
Choose one or combining several. Just use 1/2 cups or less depending on the length of your hair. Leave the conditioner on for 10 to 15 minutes, then shampoo out. They great for once a week use.
For normal hair: Try mayonnaise, eggs, plain yogurt, olive oil, castor oil, and jojoba oil
For dry hair: Try avocado, mayonnaise, bananas and coconut oil.
For oily hair: Add 1 to 3 Teaspoons of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to any one of the following, eggs, plain yogurt, olive oil, castor oil, or jojoba oil.

There is a lot of information on free and simple ways to create products to care for your hair without it coming from a bottle you buy. But they all have something
in common, they take time. There wasn't any that unless you created the night before, you could just add, rinse, repeat like the shampoo you buy in the store. If you
don't have time to create your own then a shampoo that you buy will have to do. There is a different in what is in a cheap shampoo and one you would get from a salon
but its mostly in the the cost not much more. What you like to use on your hair is your choice after all.
