Well a strange question to ask those who were born here or went through the “legal" process and were naturalized. Now I will also say that it only serves to reinforce my opinion that we truly are in the last days. The signs, symbols and examples are everywhere to be seen and heard.

However the simple fact is you are not entitled to anything until you can prove it. WHAT? Yes, that’s right! An illegal has more opportunity and access to services, help, grants, education social services health care, and jobs, yes I said jobs or whatever else then you do as an American. Tell me no and I can tell you from first hand multiple experiences.

You see it is not the fact that you must submit proof that disturbs me. It is the fact that it is consistently repeated each time you apply and when I say it is in my opinion a facade I address the reasons why I concluded that herein.

Lets take education. Just look at enrollment of any university and see just how many on grants were for people born here? Also, if your out of work, unemployed and you do not speak Spanish and you are American born and you need help please do not look for it until you can prove you are a real American.

Oh, this is a joke right? I wish it was but unfortunately, the super word of this century it isn’t. You may get some help eventually but it will take you forever and when you do it will be a minimum.

You see if you apply for help or assistance because you are one step from the street, have a wife and family and perhaps two kids you better have your Birth Certificate, Drivers License, Naturalization papers, School Records, references and a good notary to testify you are “a real American". As I stated in a prior article just to enroll in school you have to jump through the hoops.

Now you have a social security number, right? That ties you to who you are, at least if you’re an adult, but now you need all the rest. Why? Well we know why and it is because Identity Theft is so much of a problem it is an epidemic. Why do you think so? Let me ask you this. Could it be because over 20 million, ok, I’ll say it again, over 20 million illegal workers are running a round, working for someone either under the cover or on a payroll? Just how did they get that job? Oh, these are good hard working “honest" people, right?

Of course if you steal ID, have a fake license and just plain came across the border you evidently go to the top of the line with no questions asked. Now if you think once again that this is nonsense just investigate and they will tell you that’s to insure persons who are not citizens do not get aide. Oh  sure, do you have a bridge for sale?

Yes, it’s more of what in my opinion is the facade, sin, lies that permeate our society today. It is more of the same from the same types who really do not care.

Now for us who help our loved ones with money, finances, a roof over their head it is just one more nail in the coffin of truth. These kids would be in cardboard boxes, split, foster homes and everything else and then maybe, just maybe once they prove they are citizens they will get some help. Just look into it if you don’t believe me and see what help you get? I call it bare bones, let me hold my head up and feel good, I did my bit help!

They don’t even fit into the statistics that are thrown around. You know full employment, wonderful jobs. Yes “it is a Lollipop World"

Now here is the kicker. These documents that prove you are a citizen are evidently available illegal market because illegal workers are working with them, driving cars, opening bank accounts. Are they asked when they get grants for education to prove they are citizens? Are they asked when they go to a hospital if they are citizens or here legally? Do they show a drivers license when they open a bank account? Now you tell me if yes, what happens to them?

You see I am not against proof of citizenship but short of Bio Metrics proof there is no document anymore that can prove that. Just ask those who have had their ID stolen.

So the bottom line in my opinion, for all those who propagate this facade is this. They know it is a facade, they know exactly what they are heading towards and they really don’t give a damn if you like it or not.

So do you think being born here makes you an American? Prove it!

Sir Robert, one can sense your frustration with "the system." It shows in your writing. You used 'steel' instead of "steal" (ID) and a few other mistakes that you don't usually make. I remember reading an article you wrote about taking care of senior parents. I sense the same frustrations with the system encountered with some of the examples cited in this article. It's a very good article, nonetheless. The reader can certainly 'feel' you. That shows excellent writing skills, in my humble opinion. Thank you!

Yes, Avis yesterday was a bad day. Mom sick and unemployed family struggling and the local government office not interested and asking them to prove they are citizens. Insurance that does not pay and you have to do all the leg work. What really gets me, besides the fact that they were born here is that they have been in the system since their unemployment ran out. We have been doing all the help and are fast approaching needing help ourselves. Avis, I'll try to do better. Thanks!

Mr. Melaccio, I wish for you to know there was no criticizing of you meant in my comments. I felt empathy for you because I could feel the injustices to you caused by the system. It is downright wrong for those of us born in America, who have 'contributed' to the system for years to have to jump through hoops and perform calisthenics to be heard. Then when we are heard, to be denied or given crumbs as if a household pet. I meant no disrespect to you and want you to know that. Furthermore, I'm unable to cast a stone. I'm a work in progress and welcome all comments; in fact, I'm elated and thankful to have others reading my articles.

There! I wished you to know I read all of your articles. I just do not always leave a comment for fear of "over doing it." I have learned so much from you and others at SearchWarp. You've expanded my mind and given me new perspective on which to think. I am never intentionally judgmental and Lord knows I'm not a professional writer to be an editor.

Just know that I care and could tell your excellent writing style was 'off'. I now understand. . I hope writing gave you an outlet to vent and you've now entered into that sacred place and found peace of mind. You and your family are in my prayers.

With humility,
Avis

Avis the apology is mine and not yours. Your comments are respected and in retrospect I was a little, to use the kind version "frustrated". I have been trying to get away from the political rhelm and work more on my spirtitual side. Just today I was working on "in this world not of it". You are free to make comments as you feel led because it is done in love. Your work and you are truly blessed. God Bless as well.
