Many health experts agree that acidic body conditions, commonly referred to as acidosis, greatly decrease the effectiveness of the immune system and lead to diseases and sickness.

Your blood, urine, saliva, digestive juices, mucus, and the fluids inside and outside your cells each have an optimum pH level. While your digestive juices are quite acidic, your blood must be slightly alkaline.

Your body will buffer (protect) the pH level of your blood to the detriment of your teeth and bones. It will not allow your blood to become acidic and therefore unable to carry oxygen, it will go to extremes to maintain your blood pH at 7.34 – 7.45 (a slightly alkaline condition).

Anything outside this pH range could result in death. Blood acidity is something that is fatal. For your bodies cells to function at peak capacity your body must manage this very narrow pH range.

Especially for your Blood.

Alkaline conditions maintain your body’s ability to rebuild, repair and heal itself, while an acidic environment ensures that your body will break down leading to diseases and sicknesses, with the ultimate of course being death.

Some of the symptoms associated with an acidic body (acidosis) include:

  • Weight Loss problems
  • Insomnia
  • Water Retention
  • Arthritis
  • Migraine Headaches
  • Constipation
  • Colds
  • Flu
  • Stomach Ulcers
  • Acid Reflux - often referred to as acidosis
  • Cancer
  • Acidic conditions in the body are caused by:

  • Junk Food
  • Proteins - red meat is acidic
  • Carbohydratesfats
  • Sodas & Colas
  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Sports Drinks
  • Alcohol
  • Environmental Toxins
  • Stress
  • Considering this list of items that can lead to acidosis. It becomes very clear why the foundation of a healthy body must be a healthy pH balance. Drinking water and eating foods that have an alkaline pH will alter the acidosis condition and quickly bring about a balanced pH. This is one of the most important things you can learn about in terms of protecting your health and preventing diseases and sickness.

How much more enjoyable life is when we feel well and have the will and the ability to do things, not to just 'sit' and 'wish' and 'reflect on times past.'

Acid / Alkaline Balance is critical to your health!

If a substance is alkaline or acidic can be determined by testing the “pH".

“pH" means “potential hydrogen." It is the measure of hydrogen and oxygen ions (electrically charges particles) in a solution. The pH scale range is from "0-14" with "7" being “neutral." This test is done by dipping a piece of litmus paper into the substance, the paper changes color dependant on the degree of acidity or alkalinity.

This color is then matched against a scale of colors to determine the "pH" reading. Below "7" being Acidic and above "7" being Alkaline.

A one-point decrease (ie: from "7" to "6" tells us that a liquid is 10 times more acidic.)

Another example: a drop from 7.0 (neutral) to 2.0 means the liquid is

100,000 times *more acidic* to your body!
