Websites are a great way to put your product or services in front of consumers. For the Automobile Business in particular it is a great way to get your inventory seen by consumers. Most of your franchise dealers have already seen and utilized the power of the internet to put at least a portion of their inventory on a website.

However most of your small independent automobile dealers have not followed suit. The high cost associated with having a website build, hosted and maintained has prevented them from following the franchise dealer onto the web. This is no longer the case.

Some small independent automobile dealers do not think a website would be of any use to them. But again this is not the case. Most dealerships do some form of print advertising, this type of advertising usually covers a large land area. So a lot of this advertising is in front of consumers a long way from the dealers location. This is were a website is of great help to the dealership. The customer sees the ad likes a caror truck and the price of the vehicle. But then They see the location of the dealership is a long way off and you have just lost their intrest your vehicle. But if the dealer has a website address in his print ad, the consumer may go to the dealers website and find that the vehicle is exactly what they want. At this point the consumer is much more likely to drive the distance to the lot and see the vehicle. As a dealer you know that getting the consumer on the lot is more than half the battle.

I hope this article has been of some use to you.
