Introduction

Today I am going to be taking a look at the male and female brain and what exactly is the difference between the two of them. Male and females think differently for the most part and I am going to be analyzing the differences in how we act, feel and interact with one another.

Testosterone/estrogen

The biggest factor in today’s decision making is ultimately how we feel about something that relates to how we feel about ourselves. When we judge a situation and decide how to proceed with it, men and women value different things. The first thing a male does is ask him self how this can benefit me. While a woman says how do I feel about this? Two totally different avenues to take and one deals with logic while the other deals with feelings. Both have ties to emotion on some level and depends on if that person feels the situation is important or not. The reasoning behind this is most definitely testosterone and estrogen. Testosterone in a man represents ambition, goals, sex, it is what drives us to pursue something. Where estrogen deals with the emotional side of things. A male who acts aggressive actually encourages the production of testosterone and facilitates the substance to the body creating mass. It is almost like a transference that takes place in the mind to distribute the testosterone equally as the mind itself works on a basis of equilibrium. Estrogen is responsible in creating the feeling of empathy and promotes activities like talking as when somebody is always emotional they feel the need to get it out and chat. This is why women for the most part say at least twice as many words as men on a day to day basis, and directly influences how sharp the memory becomes due to the excess of stimulation being received by all the social activity. When women laugh it creates a spike in the neurons creating an excess of stimulation keeping everything sharp in the brain. This spike creates an instant memory and keeps neurons active and close. Now if you compare this activity to the way men do things, you will find that men are for the most part very linear thinkers, and for good reason. Since we do not partake on the same level in regards to social activity, our spatial and memory skills would be sub-par compared to a women’s, but there is a trade off, since our thinking patterns are more goal oriented we end up in specializing in things, and can get very good at linear style thinking. Men end up being able to do one thing at a time but very quickly and efficiently, where women will do many things at once but not as well. In the end we both end at the same conclusion but take different paths to get there. Testosterone is also the reason why men end up with bigger brains then women do. Testosterone encourages size, and since a male naturally produces more, there brain size will also be bigger; this size increase promotes males to develop very specific tendencies towards inanimate objects that create cyclical tendencies. Tendencies that reflect who we are later on in life that creates our linear style of thinking. By constantly repeating something males get sharper and stimulate logical thinking, where a baby girl may concentrate on securing her needs based on how she feels. Testosterone gives us the confidence to go forth and do stupid things because it is like males seek a thrill to quell the anxiety build up created by the excess testosterone. Females end up using more of there brain because the emotional spikes associated with talking and laughter linking neurons together. This is why men and women are from two different planets and conflicts arise. Men for the most part are totally oblivious to the way women feel why women can’t understand why men do stupid things. Yet both testosterone and estrogen hold a very delicate balance to one another. One wants to dominate while the other one wants to be dominated which really hold the equivalent of the male pursuing and the female being held, or goals and feelings, both fulfill a very fundamental goal, the male likes to acquire while the female likes to be acquired, both provide needed stimulation for the other. This also explains why females do better on written tests then men do. They simply have sharper memory skills.

Sexual attraction

The sexual attraction aspect of testosterone and estrogen are also very balanced. When a person is born, I believe they are born in the middle, neither straight nor gay. When a child hits puberty this changes as there is an explosion of testosterone or estrogen taking place within the child. This directs his behavior towards others and they come into there own and start perusing the opposite sex based on how they feel, perusing them directly like a male would or trying to make themselves presentable like a female would. But you have to ask yourself what happens when a male produces excess estrogen. Well since testosterone and estrogen holds a balance to each other, one craves the other to be complete. Testosterone represents the male physic, or size. While estrogen creates delicate features, high voice etc representing the female. A male who produces an excess amount of estrogen will be engulfed in feelings of empathy and seek out another male to take care of them since a female will not suit there needs to do so. This also explains males who have an excess of estrogen take care of there bodies, go to the gym, many have delicate features and even walk like a female. They are essentially female on the inside with the male attitude which creates the promiscuous behavior that is so apparent in the gay community. A female on the other hand who produces excess testosterone generally feels like a male and would think like a male, end up dressing like a male, cutting there hair short etc. They just don’t feel the same on the inside and their appearance reflects that, they seek out somebody who they can dominate as well. The closest representation of that is another female. This is arguable why there is so much conflict in the gay community. You have two people who want the same thing physically but not emotionally. And celibacy is a rare thing unless other factors are present to secure the relationship or in other cases keep them together out of necessity.

Right and left hemispheres

Looking at the brain you can clearly see there are two hemispheres. Both hemispheres each serve a purpose. Yet women end up using both sides of the brain to do tasks while men usually end up using only one. I believe there is a reason for this; if you take a look at the actual brain itself, the brain of a woman will be denser overall. I believe estrogen is the cause and allows neurons to make instant connections with each other and there for will suppress the need for logical thought as everything is already connected. Males on the other hand have a bigger brain but are less dense overall. The brain knows in order to thrive it must connect these neurons, and there for emotion is suppressed because of the lack of connections present between these neurons and is replaced with the need to focus on how inanimate objects fit together. This focus creates cyclical tendencies that the male uses later on in life to complete tasks. The female lacks this need and therefore nurtures how she feels. This nurture manifests into who she becomes later on in life which defines her character. To prove this point all we have to do is look at how autism affects the brain. There is an excess of testosterone in the brain and it causes the brain to grow to an abnormal size. Autistics seem to lack a connection with emotion; this lack of connection is caused by the lack of density in the brain. The brain tries to compensate by trying to fix the problem. Not enough stimulation is received since the brain is abnormally large. The connection of neurons is not made, and the child stays autistic for the rest of his life.

Conclusion

Human emotion is not only dictated by how we feel, but also how the brain is made up and is really a representation of what the brain is trying to accomplish. We are essentially a product of the overall make up and interaction of neurons. Neurons dictate how we feel and what we focus on, and is really a product of stimulation in the right areas that utterly define our cyclical tendencies later on in life. The first five yrs basically sets up what we do later on life and it is so crucial that we start attending to the fundamentals that affect our outcome as a human race. If you get the fundamentals right then everything else falls into place and this notion affects everything in society. There is very little understanding today in how we work on the inside and I feel a brand new approach has to be taken by not only monitoring the way the brain is used through analysis but how humans generally act and why. Simple questions will provide many answers and help solve the differences between men and women. It’s a matter of looking for the right variables and trying to define them through various means. Science needs to come together and start combining all the information available, the human body is a complex thing, just like the diversity in nature and using one approach will not be able to define it as it will only open up more questions in the process.
