Recliner slipcovers have so many benefits, but one of them is how they can turn a room that was drab and stale into one that is colorful and vibrant. While the main purpose of any furniture slipcover is to protect the upholstery, they also have other side effects as well.

When you visit any furniture retail store, you're sure to find all kinds and types of furniture. From couches, sofa-sleepers, recliners, dining room chairs, etc., you'll find anything you could want. What you won't find, however, is a big choice in fabrics or patterns. You're limited in most of these choices.

This is where slipcovers can be the perfect solution to this dilemma. In fact, I personally have an old la-z-boy recliner slipcover myself that I've used for years. It's not only helped hide the worn fabric, but it has livened up my family room.

Yes, you have the option of going out and having your furniture reupholstered, but be prepared for the cost. Buying new furniture is even more expensive.

Buying recliner slipcovers can give you the protection you're wanting, along with a new look at a fraction of the cost. For $25-$50 you can get a slip cover to fit any chair you have.

They come in all colors and fabrics to suit any taste. From cotton to denim and many others. You'll find what you're looking for. As for keeping them clean, you'll find you can usually machine wash any slip cover in most circumstances. Materials such as linen can be cleaned at any local dry cleaners. This makes things so convenient.

If for some reason you have difficulty in finding just what you want, consider making your own custom slipcovers. With only some basic abilities in sewing patterns, you can easily make your own covers in whatever style and material you choose. It makes for some enjoyment and personal satisfaction.

All you need to do is get the basic dimensions of your recliner and decide upon a fabric and design. Next, you'll cut out the pattern, stitch it together and you're done! It really is that simple.

Whichever route you choose to go, adding recliner slipcovers to your favorite chairs may be what you've been looking for.
