Remember the names of everyone you meet
People are very precious about their names. Remember theirs and you are automatically in favour. Even more so with unusual names. Get them right and you have an instant friend! Use their names in conversation,it builds an air of familiarity and trust.

How many children/ages/names. Remember all this information. Upon your next encounter refer to them by name and ask about their children. They will be amazed and impressed that you recalled these details and will share with you some more 'intimate details'.
YOU listen and remain interested in their 'subject'.
They will consider you a great conversationalist, yet all you did was listen!
To gain trust, share a secret about yourself.
They will 'return' that trust.
Catch that person at a good moment
To ensure the first impression is a good one, catch them when they are clearly happy about something. They will then associate those good feelings with you. Catch them at a bad moment = view you negatively
When asking a favour use the world 'help'
Ie: 'will you help me?' Help is a magic word. If you ask for a favour, straight away the person is on guard wondering what is coming next. But if you ask for help, they will probably say yes before you have even told them what it is. People like to 'help'. They like doing favours less. Even though it may amount physically to the same thing.
Do not be too available.
The expression, 'good things are worth waiting for' is embedded in everyones mind. So if you are too 'easily available' your 'value' goes down. Be available, but not too easily!
Above all be genuine and sincere and be a good friend to have.
