Mixed emotions have caused many debateable arguments to rise among people who on hearing the news of Madeline's abduction - have criticised and verbally blasphemed Gerry and Kate for their actions. Gerry and Kate vehemently state in every interview that they are responsible parents, Do responsible mummy and daddies leave their children alone. This is just one argument that comes to the fore for every time a flashback of little Madeline's face pops up on our screens or in our thoughts. This little girl is now in the hands of a total stranger/s who have committed a crime that has caused so much pain and grief than they could ever imagine. In answer to the question - do responsible parents leave their children alone "I don`t think so.
In contrast to being responsible parents, Gerry and Kate are now suffering pain like that of a martyr - for an innocent mistake that will haunt them for the rest of lives. Having to live with the guilt has to be more agonizing than having their toenails torn out with pliers. There are people who do not condone their actions, but have taken the compassionate route and forgiven them. However will this compassion prevail if Madeline is found dead?
