In the realm of spiritual warfare against demonic spirits - one of the ways that demons can enter into a person's life is through a generational curse line. A curse line can be formed out between a parent and a child if that parent has engaged and crossed over into any type of heavier transgression against the Lord.

The Bible tells us that the sins of the father can be "visited" down the blood line of 3 or 4 generations of future children. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin will always be death. As a result of a sinning parents severe transgressions against the Lord - sometimes demons will be allowed to attach to the sinning parent - and then they will attempt to jump and transfer onto some of the children to form out this curse line.

If that curse line gets formed out - then the demons will follow that child into his adult life and try to get him to commit the same type of sins his sinning parent may have been committing. That is why alcoholic fathers sometimes produce children that also end up becoming alcoholics themselves - all as a result of a curse line that had formed out between the sinning parent and the child - with demons feeding and operating on that curse line trying to influence the child to go in the same direction as his father has been going in.

Here are the 6 steps that will need to be taken in order to properly break a curse line:

1. The first thing you will have to do is be willing to make a full surrender of you and your entire life over to the Lord. The Bible tells us that we first have to be fully submitted to the Lord before we can begin to resist the devil to make him flee from us.

2. The second step is to go before the Lord and confess out the sins of the sinning parent or parents.

3. The third step is to then be willing to fully forgive your parents for whatever they have done to you - no matter how bad or how vicious the abuse has been over the years.

4. The next step is to verbally break any unhealthy soul ties that may have developed between the child and the bad parent.

5. The fifth step is to then verbally, out loud, break the curse lines that the demons have been operating and feeding on over all of those years operating under the power, anointing and authority to be able to do this.

6. The last and final step of this type of spiritual warfare once the curse line has been fully broken and severed, is to then verbally command the demons to now leave you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Curse lines can be broken. Christians do not have to put up with the torments and attacks from demons who have may have been following them into their adult lives and into their own marriages as a result of the legal rights given to them by the sinning parent.

The Bible tells us that having lack of knowledge can cause us too go into captivity. However, the reverse is also true. Having the right kind of knowledge can help set you free and get you delivered from any kind of captivity you may have fallen into.

This is a subject that many may not be aware of and fully understand. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ". (2 Corinthians 10:3 & 4.) I enjoyed this article very much. Thank you, Michael. Thanks for the link, as well. Be blessed.

This is totally ridiculous. Christians do no believe in such silly superstitions, like curses. GROW UP.

I suppose you are one of those people that think that if you don't believe in it then it doesn't exist. May your hood and veil be removed so that you may see. Stop hiding behind false statements made out of fear Maggie and allow yourself to percieve that which is actually there. Can you see electricity? I mean actually see the electrons flow through the wire? No. Do you believe it exists? Yes. Your entire life is lived in fear and by doing that you are allowing the light of God to flow through you to the darkess. I too was once blind, but now I see. All I did was ask.

You may not be blind, but you are apprently hallucinating. There is nothing in the teachings of Jesus Christ to support the concept of "generational curses." Those few mentions in the Old Testament which could be interpreted in support of such a notion refer to those who hate God, not mere sinners, whose ranks include ALL of us! Your comments on this matter sound like those of a charlatan who seeks to cash in on the fears and ignorance of those who are desperately seeking help and Truth. You better pray for your own soul and ask the Lord to guide you away from deceptive, self-serving practices committed in His name, lest you suffer a terrible punishment.

Maggie, It does exist.  Sadly these things are not superstitions.  You may not have lived or experienced it why you do not believe.  I can assure you curses are real!  I am not a witch or anything of the sort.  I am a God fearing woman.  If you don't believe in curses continue on in your sins and watch what happens to your family members.

Maggie,
You obviously have alot to learn.  You either don't go to church or don't read or watch TBN where they preach about generational curses all the time.

What a childish and silly comment to make.  I am a product of generational curses that Thank God I have changed and been delivered from so, take a good look at yourself.  Sounds like you have issues and need help.

You should grow up and realize that this is not silly.  Since you are such an authority on this matter.  Why not do some research and google, Larry Huch on breaking generational curses.

Maybe your inconsiderate and degrading comments will be different.  Did you say that you are a christian?

I have been working with men in prison for years who long to be free of their drug, fear and anxiety addictions. They are saved and in some cases baptised in the Holy Spirit. This makes intelligent sense to me.

Why don't these articles allow sending to others?

Okay, I'm confused. The parent commits a sin, but the child does not because a demon made him do it? My gosh, the Pharisees would just love that concept, as would the pop psychologists who say nothing is your fault, it's all your parents. Instead of asking forgiveness for your parents' sin, why not ask God to forgive you for your sin in choosing to follow in your parents' footsteps? Accept responsibility for your shortcomings and stop blaming them on everybody else.

I do take full responsability for my actions. However, you need only a miniscule amount of common sense, much less God sense to see Generational Sin all around you. I grew up with a very abusive Mother. My siblings, who have not surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, are an absolute PRODUCT OF THEIR UPBRINGING...making even worse decisions than my mother.
As a Christian I struggle with it every day...I am a sinner saved by Grace and only now have become aware of prayers against Generational Sin. THANK GOD!!!Wake up world. Generational Sin is all around you. Your (Our) responsability is to recognize it...claim it for God ...break the strongholds. They are real.

I fully believe in generational curses. My Great Grandmother had problems with anxiety then onto my Grandma, then on to my mom. I am next in line so I am trying to learn all I can about this thing that way when I get older I do not have the same problems my mom has had.

Ezekiel 18:14-16,18-20 (NIV) "But suppose this son has a son who sees all the sins his father commits, and though he sees them, he does not do such things: He does not eat at the mountain shrines or look to the idols of the house of Israel... He does not oppress anyone... He does not commit robbery, but gives his food to the hungry and provides clothing for the naked... He will not die for his father's sin; he will surely live. But his father will die for his own sin, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother and did what was wrong among his people. Yet you ask, 'Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?' Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live. The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him."

I don't even KNOW where to begin! My family has suffered many many such affects from what I now believe to be generational curses! My whole life has been one chaotic event after another etc. It's SAD to understand that all of the pain and suffering might have been avoided had we known about the sins of the fathers visiting upon the children from the third and forth generation. My parents were both guilty of sexual and perverted sins. I won't go into graphic details here but suffice it to say we siblings saw and experinced many horrible sins during our young formative years! Now looking back some events are beginning to make some sense to me, where as before I always wondered WHY so many bad things seemed to be attacking my family. For one thing, my sisters 14 year old daughter was taken before her time by an illness, which was a result of family generational curses and I truly believe that. My fathers brother commited suicide, which brought the sin of unnatural or untimely death into our family, so therefore I believe that's why my sisters young 14 year old died at such a young age and later, my sister herself died a young 42, of cancer. Plus she experienced several miscarriages.

There are more events surrounding my family and some of which were death before your time, others are alcohol and emotional illnesses. 3 of 4 children from the same parents all had alcohol problems. I am the only child from that family who hasn't struggled with alcohol and it's enormous effects on the family. I have 2 brothers who are currently suffering with extreme depression and emotional anxiety problems. One is a single man and the other brother is currently married with 2 young daughters (one of those girls is also dealing with emotional issues) So that proves to me that it is true that sins do follow into the next generation etc. It breaks my heart to see the devastation which is occuring and has occured in my family. I personally have a son who was molested by a pastor when he was only 8 years old and kept it a secret from all of us until just recently. That pastor molested many children in his church throughout the years and was supposed to go to trial but he passed away before that could take place. Anyway, I said all of that to say this....My father was a pedaphile. I believe that opened the door for that particular sin to invade my own son's life. I am not completely certain just how this could be but I believe it's true nontheless! He has suffered greatly because of what happened to him as a young impressional boy, who was supposed to be in a Christian school being taught Christian principlas etc. Now his life is a complete reflection of that abuse and all of it's ramifications! Sad, so very sad!

My family has been so cripled by generational sins and it breaks my heart! IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME AND ME ALONE TO BREAK THIS TERRIBLE CURSE WHICH HAS BEEN PLAGUING MY FAMILY FOR YEARS?? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME??

Hi Susie. I'm very sorry to hear about all those bad things. I too am experiencing something that I never would have imagined possible. At one time I dabbled in the occult and by doing so I was made able to see things that most people do not. I can see the aura around most living things now but especially people! This also includes spirits and beings of all sorts. And oh my God! We are so beautifull I cannot even beging to describe it. I know you can find pictures on the internet and yes, we really do look exactly like the pictures. It is this light that the beings of darkness see. It is this light that they steal to survive. Vampires! Without our light from God they would not even exist. But, DO NOT LET YOURSELF be lulled into thinking you will find the answers somewhere besides God! I did, and at this very moment I think I am on the verge of total possession. Or at least my furniture is! Especially my bed!

The book "Remarkable Healings" by Sha@#$@#$%&*ala Modi,M.D. addresses these issues and others. Here is a poem from that book which is one of the first things I saw when I opened it.

THE DEMONS
The Darkness Within

The darkness within consumes me,
And I have no defense for its hunger,

There is no place to hide,
No way to protect myself,

And  so here I am, wondering

Why!
                                               -Jane

As I write this I feel my chest and feet begin to vibrate, uncomfortably so. I have demonic faces in my skin and every major energy center on my body is covered with a circle and and x in it with lines, or straps, resembling a harness is beginning to cover me, and I'm afraid. Not just for me, but especially for all those that do not or will not believe this exists. I am dismissed as a nut. I can tell you this Susie. We are not human beings with a spirit, we are spiritual beings with a human. And the sooner people recognize that fact the easier it becomes to understand what is happening.

This book, Remarkable Healings, has some great prayers, well not just prayers but actually techniques that include visualization and speaking out loud. Most people pray silently and for some people that is ok. But from my experience, and believe mel, I've seen a thing or two about a thing or two, most people cannot reach God simply through their thoughts. It is also these people that will dismiss this statement but they don't see or understand the use of demonic tools, much less even believe they exist. I will paste some pictures from this book that were drawn by the good doctors patients after they were freed. My call sight is eigthsign and if that doesn't work, try eigthsign at gmail dot com.  I'm not concerned about copywrite infringement. This is too important to not get the word out. Even at the risk of being called a nut!

But to answer your question, yes it is possible for you to break these curses. But you won't be alone. We are never alone. Do some research. Buy some books. Read the bible. Use a Concordance. Take notes. Think about what you want to say to God. Then write it down with intent. Light a candle. Burn some incense of high vibration. I'm not Catholic, but I sure like their incense and candles. Pray OUT LOUD! Lift your hands up to the Lord in praise and prayer. Also put your hands together at your heart like you see in statues and paintings. There is a good reason for this. When you put your hands together, palms touching and fingers outstretched, not interlocked but pointing straight up into the sky holding your hands at your heart area. You will notice that there is a hole between your thumbs and just above them. All other parts of your hands are closed. This hole allows the light of your heart to enter and combine with the light of your hands and it will beam directly to God. Sound a little far fetched? One time I would have thought so. But that was before I asked for knowledge and was given it. My veil was lifted and those normal everyday things that I see people do appear so different now. I see their true intent, no matter how much I try to deny it. Anyway, ask him for help and it will be given unto you. You may be the deliverer, maybe not. God will let you know. It would be wise for you to form a team of people that are filled with the Holy Spirit and are willing to help you.

Do not take this lightly. The most, absolutely, the most important thing is for you to truely forgive all those that have caused you harm and to pray for them above all else. Pray for them first! This will get noticed on a scale like you have never known before. You might even get babtized by the Holy Ghost right there. Realize that these people, they are puppets, responding to the tugs of satan. Helpless. Every single bad thing in this world that a person can do, say, or think, originates from satan. Even the satanic bible affirms that there are only two forces in the universe. Good, and evil. God, and devil. And if it's not of God, it is of the devil. Period. No matter how inocuous it may seem. White magick, black magick, the forces that make it happen come from the same place. Satan. And it's not free either. He loves to give credit.

I said earlier that one should raise their hands up to God. I use to think that was simply a gesture. That is until I could see the human aura. I visited a friends church not long ago and I saw something I've never seen before. And I've been to many church services. I was raised in church, thanks to my parents! And thanks be to God. So, while in this church service it came time for people to praise ad worship through singing and prayer and many people raised their hands in the air. At that moment I realized that I was seeing energy spiralling out of each hand like a candy cane and going straight through the roof! I was floored. I never imagined that this could be possible. But think about it. We are alive because of Gods light. We are connected to him through our silver cord that eminates out of the top of our heads. This light energy is the image we were created in! And to raise your hands in praise you are giving back to him life force, filtered through us with our experiences and feelings toward him added to it. And it is very pleasing to him.

I hope I have been of some help to you. Give me a few days to get the pictures posted. Maybe I'll get it done tonight. But right now, I really need to get to church. I'm being attacked like you would not believe. May God bless you and keep you Susie.
Lloyd

I am so sorry for your suffering and your pain! I am also a fellow survivor of severe childhood abuse. It is truly by the God's loving Grace that I lived through all of  the tradgedies I and my siblings suffered at the hands of both of my earthly fathers. But to answer your question YES you can stand in the gap for generational curses and strongholds for your past generations and for your family's future generations. Don't get me wrong, we all have free will of choices that we make, so even though you take the responsibility to do this for yourself and your family, your family members may still end up suffering with all sorts of issues because of  the choices that they individually make. There are "Familiar Spirits" that attach themselves such as perversity, alcohol, drugs, anger, murder, rape, anxiety, depression, suicide and so on that Satan uses to destroy families. These are all Satan's tools after all he currently rules the earth-read John 10:10-the enemy is here to seek, kill and destroy you-When you go to pray to break all of the curses that you know of in your family-call each sin out by name, and pray the blood of Jesus over all of them and rebuke all of them in the name of Jesus-you also need to call out every single last name that you are standing in  the gap for-maiden names, married last names, your childrens family names past and present, etc-it may take you a while-the bible states throughout the book of Exodus that curses may go to 3 & 4 generations-I highly recommend that you get a Strongs bible Concordance-you can look anything up in the bible and get all of the scriptures-take care-and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family & keep you in His Loving care now, always, and eternally-

This entire article consists of unsupported assertions. You present no evidence that there is any truth in what you say. Most of the specific assertions you make aren't even backed up with scripture, let alone solid, testable evidence!

You say "That is why alcoholic fathers sometimes produce children that also end up becoming alcoholics themselves", without backing it up. What solid evidence do you have that the well-supported conventional explanations (e.g. genetic / psychological) of that phenomenon are wrong, and that your explanation is true?

You give specific actions to be carried out to break these curses... but where did you get these?

If from God, why are you having to state them here - if they were important they'd be in the Bible, or available for others to receive directly from God!

Publishing such unsupported assertions can be dangerous, as it can lead people away from proven & effective solutions to real problems such as alcoholism.

When someone is walking in deception, they will never know it because they are blinded by the lie satan has them believing. My dear, the spirit of God indwelling will testfy to what you claim is unsupported assertions. May the eyes of your understanding be opened especially in these trying times.

You worship a wicked, jealous and petty god. He is Yaldabaoth, the unholy and soulless god who made earth and made our bodies, who made curses and made thorns. Yaldabaoth doesn't love humankind at all, which is why he should curse us through the genrations, until we bend our will to his selfish design.

Let us restore our souls to the god of peace and love, the god who lives in Heaven, not in the earth. The true God is not jealous, because He could not be jealous; not vindictive, because He is All Love. Since He is Supreme, He has no need to battle petty demons.
