Do you have a book hidden in your soul?

You’re Memoirs?

A Children’s Book?

You’re “How To" Guide?

Its so easy to find reasons and excuses to never sit down and write that article, short story or next great novel or screenply. If you think about these writing tips you may just start the process. Once you start the passion will flow and so will your great written works.

Remember the following:

¨ Find a quiet place

¨ Write from the heart

¨ Start writing without worrying about structure, just write your thoughts

¨ Draft pictures of the vision of your ideal book

¨ Type and Edit later, after you feel you are finished with your writing

¨ Don’t ask anyone’s advice, these are your thoughts, not their thoughts

¨ Don’t be discouraged if your thoughts look disorganized at first, have faith and visualize the results you want

¨ Give you’re writing the time and focus you need to get the job done. It’s better than catching up on American Idol!

¨ Find the right self-publishing option

¨ Let’s publish!

So enjoy the journey. Its all part of the experience and you don't want to miss a moment of it. not all of us are driven to write. If you are I know it will be special to your heart when you are there.

I am happy to hear that even one writer moves closer to the goal of writing their book or short story. Remember, unanswered passion leads to misguided frustration in the form of overeating, over shopping, over complaining and possibly depression. Take all that pent up "stuff" to that big blank piece of paper and do what should come naturally!

Writing is such an interesting pursuit. We all have stories in us, too many of which never get told. Even if someone writes but it isn't quite of publishing standard, it can still be shared with family, friends and writing groups. Stories are so important to us and our social connections and I'm glad you are encouraging people to write.
