We all need to be more physically active. Right now over 50% of Americans are overweight.

1. Walk or exercise together

2. Have picnics instead of eating fast food, go to area where there is open area , no playground, no pool, nothing but land. Take a blanket, picnic basket, cooler, board games, cards or frisbee. Spend a minimum of 3 hours with your family.

3. Clean together, do yard work, garden, house hold chores.

4. Cook together (often).

5. Listening - This is simple, but a lot of people don't do it. We are caught up in hustle bustle of life. We hear but not listen. Listening requires to hear totally. Process the information coming in, don't respond immediately, wait at least 10-15 seconds. Then respond if you are not sure what angle they are coming from. Repeat what you heard to make sure you are understanding. Something as simple as this makes a child or spouse feel so much better.

6. Take out the time to compliment you family members. Be polite say thank you and please.

7. Pray together.
