Selection of Girl(or boy) through horoscope matching

• Girl's Star
  If the girl's star is Mrigashersham or Magam or Swathi or Anusham then you need not look into other details and immediately select her. These stars are considered to be exceptionally good and so do not require matching of horscope from other angles.
• Rajju
  Matching of Rajju is most important. Star of girl should not be the same or 10th or 19th of of your star. Some same stars are however exceptions.
• Star
  Count from girl's star upto your star and divide the figure by nine. If the reminder is 2,4,6,8 then matching is good. If it is 5 it is tolerable. But if the reminder is 1, 3, 7 then there is no matching.
• Rasi
  Your Rasi should be at least 6 counts from that of the girl. The owner of your Rasi should be friend and not an enemy of the owner of girl's Rasi.

  The second column in the Table gives the name of animal associated with the star. This is the Yoni of the star. The star of girl and boy should be of different Yoni. Further the animals asociated with girl's star should not be an enemy of that of boy's star such as Cow-Tiger, Elephant- Lion, Horse-Buffalow, Serpant-Mongoose, Monkey-Goat, Cat-Rat, Deer-Dog.
• Ganam
  The fifth column in the Table gives the ganam associated with a star. Boy and girl should belong to the same ganam. If boy belongs to 'Angel' ganam, the girl can be of 'Human being' ganam. There will be agreement if boy belongs to 'demon' ganam and girl to 'Human being' ganam'. If the ganam of both boy and girl belong to 'Demon' then the star of boy should be above 14th of girl's star.
• Mahaendram
  The agreement is good if the count from girl's star to boy's star is 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25.
• Vashiyam
  Agreement of Rasi for vasiyam are given Table below

  Parshva Nadi - Ashvini, Thiruvadharai, Punarpusam, Uthiram, Hastham, Kettai, Moolam, Sadayam, Poorattadhi
  Madya Nadi - Barani, Mrigashirsam, Poosam, Pooram, Chithirai, Anusham, Pooradam, Avittam, Uthirattadhi
  Samana Nadi - Rohini, Ayilyam, Magam, Swathi, vishakam, Uthiradam, Thiruvonam, Revathi.
  The girl and boy should not belong to the same Nadi.
• Sevvai Dosham
  If Sevvai(Mars) is placed in 7th or 8th house from Lagnam or Chandran, the horscope has a strong Sevvai dosham. If Sevvai(Mars) is placed at 7th or 8th house from Sukran(Venus), there is Sevvai dosham but it is slightly milder than earlier. If Sevvai(Mars) is placed at 2nd, 4th, or 12th house from Lagnam, Chandran or Sukran(Venus) there is mild Sevvai dosham. For horoscope agreement, the Sevvai dosham in girl's and boy's horoscope should be of matching order. If Sevvai is in 7th or 8th house from Lagnam or Chandran in girl's horoscope, then Sevvai should also be in 7th or 8th house from Lagnam or Chandran in Boy's horscope for matching. Otherwise, there will be no agreement. If Sevvai is along with Guru or is seen by Guru(5th or 7th or 9th house from Guru), then the degree of Sevvai dosham gets reduced. If Sevvai is in its own house or is exhalted or debilitated, the Sevvai dosham gets reduced or is not present(according to some). If Sevvai is alongwith Rahu and Kethu or is aspected by Sani then Sevvai dosham gets reduced.
• Rahu/Kethu Dosham
  If Rahu/Kethu is in 7th or 8th house from Lagnam or Chandran, there is Rahu/Kethu dosham. For matching, there should be Rahu/Kethu dosham in both girl's and boy's horoscope or both horoscopes should be free from Rahu/Kethu dosham
• Dasa Sandhi
  No dasa in girl's and boy's horscope should change within 6 months of each other within 30years from marriage. If such change occurs there is likelyhood of problem in married life.

And finally for Gandharva Vivaha known as Love marriages, it is not at all necessary to match the horoscope at the first place. This is according to Hindu system and practice that marriage matching is only taken for the arranged marriages through elders and there is no need for one to match the horoscope for Love marriages.

You have stated that boys rasi should be atleast six from that of the girl. If the boys rasi comes six from that of the girl then it will be shastatagam and it is advised not suitable.

Quite apart from star matching, Girl's Mangalya Bhalam & boy's Longivity, progeny etc. are to be ascertained from individual charts. Also, Kuja dosham too to be checked. No pariharam or appeasement would do good for mismatching charts and horoscopes.

Whoever not having the Mars effect known as Chevvai dosham will get weakened if the person marries a one who has the Dosham. In simple terms, negative goes with negetive and positive with positive. This applies to the blood group match too. Moreover, if the child born is with that of mother's blood group, there there won't be much a problem; but if the child carries the father's blood group, then breast feeding too would become a problem and the child may not accept the feed, or may create commplications to its health.

Thirukkanitha panchangam is the best to calculate horoscopes. Vakya panchangam can be used to know the daily thithi, vaara, nakshatra, yoga and karana. That's all.

ThirukkaNitha Panchangam is the one that gives accurate nakshatra timing and it should be followed for erecting horoscope. Vakya Panchangam can be followed for general purposes such as to know thithi, Muhurtham etc. ThirukkaNitham literally means according to mathamatical calculations.

Without analyzing the full chart levels for both boy & girl, it is not possible to give any suggestion based on general ideas. Moreover, the Navamsa Chart also to be verified to get the actual Kala Sarpa dosham effects.

This article was very useful. I think this is exact calculation. Thanks for giving a base knowledge by providing this article. I have a question here. I had an alliance. Me and the boy liked each very much. My natchatra is poosam and his is thiruvonam. But our astrologer said that there is no natchatra porutham and we shouldnt marry. But as per the article we get 5 as reminder which means its tolerable to marry. I want to know whether we can marry or not and also if there is no match what will happen. Including Rajju, if five or more matches are found, then one can surely go ahead with the alliance. But, you should check for other planetary alignments also such as Mangalya Bhalam, Ayush Sthanam, Dasa Sandhi etc.

The article would 've been more useful, if the name of the stars, and Planets are written as per the Classics in Astrology, instead of giving in Tamil Names. Like- Kettai, Thiruvadurai, Anusham,Punarpusam etc. which is not followed by all the Astrologers in the North or South India{except TN],or in the World. First peoples should stop believing these type of things.

It is my personal experience that one of my well known girl married a boy whose horo match is 9/10. her parents has consulted 2 / 3 astrologer before proceeding for the marriage. but within 9 months they both got divorced. can the horoscope / astrologers give her life back. no one can give life for her. then whats the meaning horoscope match then. it is of no use. not only this one case. i know many such cases.

Even for me a guy whoz perfectly suits me / my family in all the aspects got rejected jus simply for this star match process which took away the happiness of our 2 families.... not only this. horoscope of mine matched with a guys horoscope and got 9/10. but when we met, felt there is absolutely no match between us. not only these two cases. it has happened with 3-4 guys.

We are spending so much of money / time / energy in consulting astrologer for these type of services.. so dear all dont waste your time / money / energy in this. just belive in GOD. He knows what you want and he will do it for you. All the best for your future.

The girl's star is Kettai (rasi vrichigam)and the boy's star is Bharani (rasi mesham). One of the astrologers said that this wont match (Rasi sashtaashtagam). But another has said that it is matching as the adhipathi of both the nakshatras are same. Can you please comment more on this.

Whether it is Rasi or Lagna sashtakam, it is totally to be avoided even if the Rasi lord is the same. This can be taken for Mesham/Viruchikam as well as Rishabam/Tulam where the Rasi lords are the same viz. Mars & Venus respectively. Majority of such matches end in separation, which I have seen from many such combinations.

Yes the article is pretty good and informative. But one thing still I dont understand is how many people live good with horoscope matching, bad without horoscope matching. The only thing to be honest is love between both..... is the real match not the horoscope. God is there who will always take care of the really loved one's. Horoscope is just an assumption, but its not real....

For my friend the matching was 10/10, but unfortunately he died in an accident..... after he has died, when asked the astrologer, he said he has got some kandam(bad time now), so be careful. But the astrologer himself said, he will live long. (But he doesn't know my friend met with an accident and died already). The case is just a prediction, after marriage his horoscope was bought, and the astrologer assumed, there is some problem, which even a common man does. So what I suggest all the readers is dont believe in Horoscope, just believe in God! all will happen good..............

neha, chennai. My friend's sister got married after consulting 2 - 3 astrologer for horomatch. but his husband passed away after 12 years of marriage. its a natural death. all those astrologers said they will live for long life. one's ayush cannot be known from his horoscope?
also let me know how to find out one's ayush period. if a girl and guy marries (without star match) out 7 astrologer 1 astrologer is says after their marriage girl / guy will die. if he marry, some other girl boy, what his ayush period will get extend? what is this. i really dont understand. while giving birth itself god decides one's ayush period. howcome a girl's horoscope can change the ayush period of a guy. does it mean the planets are so powerful than god. pl clarify. is there any pariharam for extending life of both (this i am asking just to get clarity).

Sir, My mama's date of birth is 26.12.1978. i dono exactly the time of birth. place of birth is karaikal. star is swathi. he is well settled in life. but he is not happy as individual. he has everything good job, own house, but still not settled with good wife. he fell in love a girl (with my other uncle's daughter, but got failed because of family problem). he has decided not to get married becuase of this. for the past 5 years his parents trying to finalise marriage for him. but he is not agreeding. i am very much worried about his future. hence please let me know when he will get married.

My question was " The girl's star is Kettai (rasi vrichigam)and the boy's star is Bharani (rasi mesham). One of the astrologers said that this wont match (Rasi sashtaashtagam). But another has said that it is matching as the adhipathi of both the nakshatras are same. Can you please comment more on this.

One have to check 'jathagam' before proceed to marriage, so in my case, we don't have Rajju match. so do you recommend us to go on or need to do something about it? Hi Sir, My DOB is 14/03/1984, my boyfriend's DOB is 7/08/1984. My mom consulted an astrologer who said that the match is not good as he has Chevvai dosham. My mother is frantic as she was told that I will die if the wedding takes place.
