Recently here in the Midland, Texas area, it was discovered that a service station, Town& Country on highway 137 and Interstate 20, was caught red-handed riping off the customers.  Seems they set up their pumps to charge x number of $ for the gasoline per gallon, except, the customer wasn't getting the full gallon.

Now, for those who want to constantly berate the oil companies over the price of gasoline, perhaps you should start taking a better look at the retailer selling you that gas.

I am not involved in the oil business, but my business, as a lot of businesses here in the Midland/Odessa area, is affected by the oil business.  I know several oilmen, and I know them to be quite honest and hardworking.  No one seems to take into consideration the cost of production for the end user.  these oil men work long and hard and try every way they can to make an affordable product.

You must take into consideration, the legislative procedures, and costs, the governmental taxes and permit fees and fines etc, that must be paid by the oil companies to get you, the end user the gasoline for your automobiles.

Now you have service stations that want to fix their pumps so that you actually pay more for less.  So, in truth, who should you really be mad at?
Give the oil guys a break for crying out loud!

Very informative and well written. This really upsets me when they are ripping me off of my hard earned money. Keep up the writing Jo.
