One of the latest trends in backyard design is the hot tub gazebo. These designs have become all the rage in backyards worldwide. I recently had a discussion with a friend regarding these backyard delights, and we came to the realization that the design is absolutely brilliant!

Frankly, we were surprised that it had not been thought of sooner. People have been including hot tubs and Jacuzzi’s into their home designs for quite some time. Back in the 1970’s, hot tub parties seemed to be everywhere. In the 1990’s, everyone seemed quite keen on having traditional garden parties. The hot tub gazebo was a natural development.

I was watching the television just the other evening, and HGTV had a segment on building your own hot tub gazebo. I spent the next few days daydreaming about having one of my own. I have a hot tub in my master bathroom, and I have always fancied the idea of moving it outdoors. I would love to spend cool summer nights under the stars soaking in my wonderful warm tub. Wouldn’t you?

A few days later, I decided to make it so. I consulted a couple of friends that are handy with power tools, and set to work on my drawings. In the eyes of my handy-friends they were sketches, but I like to consider them drawings. I had one dilemma to confront. Do I remove the tub from my master bathroom, or do I purchase a new one?

I decided to purchase a brand new one. The prospect of building a gazebo was one thing. It was quite another to have to renovate my bathroom to accommodate it. Anyway the more the merrier, they say! I went down to the local hot tub dealer, and got an excellent deal on last year’s model. I purchased one of the largest ones I could find, as I expect to be having some awesome parties!

We set to work building the gazebo a few weeks later. It seemed like it was together in no time at all, and by the end of the weekend we were all soaking in my new hot tub having a few martinis. This is the life, my friends! Later in the evening it began to rain, but that was no concern of ours. The gazebo kept the rain water out of our drinks, and we partied into the wee hours! Hey, did anyone see where my bathing suit went?

Terri Greene spends much of her time soaking in her favorite hot tub. When she is not telling her friends about the last hot tub party, she is threatening to sue them if the pictures end up on the internet. In her spare time, she writes for hottubsandhomespas.com – a resource for anyone interested in Jacuzzi Hot Tubs, Beachcomber Hot Tubs, Sundance Hot Tubs and more.
