In my articles of a few years ago and last year I wrote about The Coming Storm and The Storm is at the Gate and few to any were really concerned about what I or others had written. In fact many just gave it a passing glance. In fact those who support our current political leaders, Congress and the President are a large part of that group that is not interested at all. They are the ones who are content and happy when the President speaks of a robust economy. It really is for that 20%. The recent action by the Fed and anything else concerning the economics of America is for their benefit. They are not talking about or even to middle, average or poor America. These are those who are reaping the unprecedented profits, have the Golden Parachutes and benefit programs.

In today's St. Pete times they quoted from elite economists in varied articles about housing, credit, taxes, insurance, real earning power decline, lost jobs, the war and a host of impacting issues. I find it amazing these highly edcuated people from the finer elite schools are just now starting to see the impact. Like Mr. Greenspan, even he seemed amazed. Rhetorically, perhaps it was all that money being made that clouded them all?

Being an older person I heard from my mom and dad, who were kids when the depression hit, just how bad it was. No jobs, people losing their homes, people making a bare bones living, jobs paying little to no money to survive and certainly no benefits. Dos this sound familiar? My dad went off to a government work program to rebuild America that Roosevelt had established called the CCC's and to just plain survive. Perhaps that is the answer to todays run down bridges, damns and infastructure?

Oh sure the smug and the prideful will say it will never happen here. Well not to the haves. They can just get up and go to those new "free and emerging market nations" they brag about. But where will you and me, your neighbors, the average and poor go?

These same people continue the dismantling of our nation at an alarming rate. Manufacturing going offshore, Green Card recipients taking good jobs here at home and offshore, convicted persons and possible bombers with alleged ties to terrorists given free roam all over this land and all the while getting an education right here in Tampa Bay and all across America. People streaming over the border by the thousands, breaking law , yes something some people choose to ignore, just like pedophilia, or other forms of crime or sin.

Our military stretched to the bare bone in men and materials. SPP and the North American treaty in my opinion will, regardless of what they call it or what they say, be implemented. We will remain in Iraq as long as we need oil and we will expand our influence there regardless of the party. The lists of problems from Katrina, to bridges, to unemployment, to drugs, to taxes, to family crisis to a lack of health care, to lost pensions and etc. etc. etc. is endless.

The haves smugly caring less, that is until something happens. Now I for one am of the opinion that a crash has to occur. I have said it before and I will say it again. The exchange of money and the new Global order will force the collapse. We see it starting in little bits in England with their banks and certainly here. Why does it have to be?

So let me throw out this hypothetical possibility. I remind you this is just conjecturing now so don't start quoting me as fact here, although in my opinion there are possibilties. Well there are a number of factors that strike me simply from logic and the signs and symbols of this day. Number one is the Global system that is so intertwined, it cannot simply unwind itself. Therefore there has to be a way to eliminate unnecessary costs. One cost is when goods and services flow back and forth between nations. Implement one world currency and economic system and you solve all the woes, reduce costs, eliminate tariffs and dramatically alter trade and thus increase profits substantially.

To do this you have to have an acceptance by the people of all nations, not just here. First you foster the factors that bring fear, anxiety, worry upon the society. Then you then bring about collapse through an economic disaster like going into a recession and possibly a full collapse. Then after months of suffering you spring the surprise. Now the way we go so goes the rest of the world. Therefore this new plan will be accepted universally. It will be the answer for all. One world system, one world currency and it will bolster jobs, employment, and trade because the cost of money will be the same everywhere. It will be ushered in with the approval of all.

Now as we continue down the road in my opinion there will be many more hurting as the days wear on. The question we all have as Americans is are we going to continue to let the haves and those in power, that 18% that thinks these our politicians are doing a good job [isnt it strange that 18% is close to that 20% who owns 80% of everything] should be elected once again? Why would anyone elect the same failed lot? It is perhaps time to wake up America and get rid of the whole lot. Yes the whole lot.

Perhaps, just perhaps and once again for good measure, it is now the time to boot every incumbent that is running, out of office. Put your local, state and personal agenda on the shelf and boot them all out! Yes, in my opinion that should be the battle cry in 2008, GIVE THEM THE BOOT! If you have something that isn't serving your need or intention anymore you replace it. You can only try to fix it so many times before it must be replaced. Have we not reached that point?

A vote for any of them in my opinion and that of many is a vote for the status quo, no change and in reality your approval of all they are doing that you 82% say you don't like! Will that change anything but people, perhaps not? But it sure as hell will send a loud and clear message if you don't represent us, the American people, you go and we will keep trying until we do get some that will!

The other way that impacts them significantly and you are seeing it now, is buy American! That is not because a product has an American name. Is it truly manufactured here? Don't think that well-known name means anything more then a name. The product must say made in America and be of a majority of parts made here.

Like the tires from China that blow out, like the toys that damage our children and on and on and from what we thought were American companies, we need to make a statement and NOW! Hey, we all reap what we sow. So do nothing and just continue on your way and let the 20% drive the car and sit back and enjoy the ride and that may be ok for you. However, don't complain when you find out where it winds up you just may not like?

You know Mr. Melaccio, this story I'm about to tell you has little relation to your article. However perhaps 40 years ago (I'm not sure of the date) I was watching a science fiction movie on TV. It was about a man who went into a time machine and went into the future. When he arrived on Earth in the future he found that man had evolved (so to speak) to a more civilized being. there was no money on the planet and the people all lived in peace. What struck me was there were still a breed on men who were aggressive only their drive wasn't for money it was for knowledge. The only thing missing in this movie was a belief in God. But at the end of the movie the man who went into the future observed the young walking on the city sidewalks holding hands and looking very content and satisfied with their life. he said "the one thing that hasn't changed is love." What do you think of this story? of course all science fiction

Well David that is science fiction but one I hope might come about someday. Perhaps while we are here. However, I give you this as a retun thought to consider. Man has divided God into their beliefs and they have identified God as thiers alone. I believe good decent people everywhere believe God is LOVE simple and pure. So when you say there was no belief in God, I say man finally found God simple and pure as God really is and they actually walked in faith and peace together. They did not have to "show" their belief it was in their very thought, words and get this, deeds. Which is and has always been the desire of God. Thanks David, I hope this provides you an answer. best wishes, Mr. melaccio

yes we all speak of god and what we want is love happines and peace for all. But I'm afraid that is a pipe dream. We will only have peace when we realize that evil acts and deeds are committed by the mentaly ill. There are mentally ill people in every walk of life . Teachers, preachers, singers , bus drivers, waiters . The list is long and when we face the facts that sickness and disease can cause irrational behavoir in anyone we will get to the problems of the world. Just because someone believes in God does not make them good just as someone who has no belief makes them bad. Our mental disease is causing most of our problems. The world is polluted and is certainly polluting us. I'm afraid things are just going to get worse. We need to find the source of that sickness and get rid of it not medicate it.

Well while I appreciate your opinion and analogy mankind is a fallen creature, let none say they are without sin. So the need for a Savior. We cannot save ourselves, period. Now how we recognize that and work toward removing sin from our life is what God asks us as professed followers. But to think we will ever attain perfection is quite frankly to place ourselves on the same level as God and hence copy the devil. No it is professing, recognizing and then doing what is right that we can truly say what we are. Best wishes. RTM
