The suit: 'Chambers vs God'
Suing the source behind the "Powers that be" may be the lamest thing yet to hit the court system, and reportedly is the intended point from the man with enough gumption to try it, during his attempt earlier this week in a Nebraska Court!
What would cause someone to go to such extremes?
Well, quite plainly put, it was an attempt at making a mockery of those abusing the right to sue! That anyone can walk up to the courthouse, make allegations against another, and get away with it, and the latest reports in on that poll, is that judges themselves are on the suing hit list. Apparently, this man, a lawmaker of course, in a nutshell is saying, when is enough, enough? Do we need to sue God himself in order to prove how ridiculous it may seem?
It would be even more strange if he actually won!
What allegations could he possibly bring against God?
In Nebraska, State lawmaker Ernie Chambers actually filed a lawsuit on Friday against the God the Almighty Himself. He is of course taking into consideration that God has a series of aliases.
The crimes brought against God?
As reportedly stated, the cause of: "Fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes, pestilential plagues." And to make sure he didnt miss any loopholes, it was apparently added, and Other alliterative catastrophes".
Reportedly, God is named, "The admitted perpetrator" of such heinous crimes and said that God's omnipresence gives the local Douglas County District Court jurisdiction in the suit, adding that God's omniscience eliminates the need to issue a formal notice of the lawsuit.
The lawmaker asked the courts, to be awarded an unspecified summary judgment against God, or, issue a permanent injunction against God, from engaging in the damaging acts cited in the filing.
And so far as been reported, all is silent in the defense corner.
One thing to think about when you go up against the Almighty Himself, some folks say, the Titanic was sunk, due to the fact that men boasted, "God Himself, couldn't sink this ship."
Thats a wrap
