After I watched the show HIP-HOP vs AMERICA as a young Black woman who strives to do better. I asked my self in the world that we are living in today Does television have the capacity and power to control our society? My answer is 80 % yes. Millions are affected by television shows; Television and other media have caused unnecessary violence and affected the children of the entire country. We have thousands of unemployment; hundred complained that they cant get a job because they are minorities or black. I am not saying its not true, however; as a 25 years old Black Recruiter. It is humiliated interviewed black males and females speaking slang during the interview assuming that I am black. I must be able to communicate with them, for example; I do some work for my old boy. As a black woman, I speak slang at certain places so that they can understand me and feel at ease around me. I must know when and where.

Our societies believe in visual limitations of life. Seeing is Believing Now the answer is how TV can help improve our society? Lets start by saying instead of having a flavor of love TV show where young women are debasing their identities and became famous on national televisions, then again RAP-City where rappers battled against each other promoted conflicts. Why cant television start promoting more motivational and educational shows? I once was told that I am pretty, I should be a video girl. I was younger and influenced by TV, I appeared in few music videos, catalogs ect.

Classy video I taught it was cool.

As a result of, our own black males used women beauty deficiently as a product to make money. Who do we blame? HIP- HOP or the MEDIA! Psychologists tell us that every individual is controlled by his convictions. Yes I believe its true. As Black African American we can use our talents to keep what Martin Luther King Fought to give us. Either you are American, Jamaican, Haitian, African, and Spanish. As a nation we should try to diminish on the negativity that affects our nation.

Parents ask your self do I want to continue to feed the bad habits to keep growing inside of my child? You are the one buying the records, think about it and stop complaining.

A: Bad habits keeping us from moving forward

B: changing your habits determines your destiny

C: Disciplines your self by identify bad habits

D: And make a decision to change it

Its easy to adopt temptation and penetrating thought that determines our destiny, but its hard when paying the consequences. If martin Luther King was still alive he would say

Freedom is available try to earn it by being a self motivator stop blaming it on the Black or White Pictures. Claim it and continue the journey.

Especially with our lyrics we can influence the youth to acknowledge our music in a positive way for examples; Wyclef and Kanye.West lyrics. I know young teenagers who drop out at the age of fifteen years old because their intentions are to become rappers. I respect Artist as a professional career. However; I think some restrictions should apply, such as: to become rappers they must graduate from High School. If they are younger, they must attend school while trying to become rappers thats my opinion. School is free in America why not challenge the youth to make the effort. Although College is not for everyone, there are no reasons for our youth not to graduate from High School. I had a chance to talk with some foster care male teenagers. My questions to those young men were its ok to have talents with big dreams.

What if you dont make it as a rapper?

What is your back up plan?

Youre vision is to make lots of money, drive a nice car, have a big house, how would you get those things, without a high school diploma?

Do you ever think about playing sports, where you can get a scholarship yet still pursuing music?

School is not to get you rich; it will simply gives you the knowledge of writing your own lyrics as a rapper, wouldnt you agree?

The music business is very competitive right now, for a record label to consider you as potential artist you must have a Demo, and how would you pay to get a demo if youre not sponsor by someone?

Do you ever think about taking music classes while in High School, most Musicians after produced several beats start to rap?

The responses that I got from them were as believable in their minds, imitated the records they listened too and what they adopted on TV. Some said they can be a hustler or a street thug, one of them said he will get girls to make him money like they do on the videos.

I asked! Why do you think thats the best way?

They said we listened to our role models referred to rappers. My point is the visual mental pictures that sustain in our minds rather is good or bad, dictates our behaviors which lead to our destiny. The reasons I choose to write about it are, the foster Kids most of the time dont have someone to educate them about wrong or right. They dont have someone to look up to. The celebrities have an enormous impact on them as Role models. So lets use the power of fame positively and effectively. Keep our objectives simply to acknowledge, respect the hard work of our ancestors who died to give us freedom and a memorable way. I wonder how much we really consider each other, like they considered us. Lets prove it by doing the same for our generation.

I love my Hip-Hop culture for providing high-level expertise in the music and performance production industry. Then again, I cherish the sounds of our existence that keep me moving, most importantly the words capture in my heart that I use in time of despair for hope which leads to victory.
