The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a popular tourist attraction that is along the Colorado River just on the edge of the Grand Canyon located in This attraction just opened in early 2007 and is available to tourists that purchase a package for around $75.  The skywalk is constructed in a horseshoe shaped ledge.  It’s about 4,000 feet above the canyon which is higher than any of the world’s largest buildings!

One of the other attractions to the Grand Canyon is the Railway which is much more older than the Grand Canyon Skywalk.  This railway was first run in 1901 with a group of passengers that traveled 64 miles.  The railway carries about 240,000 passengers per year in today’s statistics which amounts to hundreds per day.  It’s a great way to see much of the if you don’t feel like taking a hike or walk on your own.

The temperature in the canyon is much like the desert temperature compared to cities in It can reach up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer months and below zero at night during the winter months.   The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a great way to take advantage of some of the best views the canyon has to offer.  It’s a new attraction that many people are taking advantage of.  The only downside is that its very expensive to get up there although you are offered other items as a package deal.
