Most people dream of a white Christmas. Some get the snow on that wonderful morning of Christmas. But some do not. Some people do not even live where it snows! Wherever you may live, you can still have a white Christmas with these great snow decoration tips.

Snowflakes Keep Falling on My Head
Snowflakes are popular. You can make snowflakes from just about anything including coffee filters. Take a cup coffee filter and fold it in half. Fold it in half once more and then again. Cut out sections with sharp scissors and open up the filter. You have a snowflake. You can use big coffee filters or smaller ones for different size snowflakes. Attach them to windows with photo tab stickers or tape.

Make a snowflake garland with paper. Take strips of paper about six inches long and one inch wide. Fold the strip in half and cut out triangle shapes and other shapes for a snowflake effect. Do this with all the strips. Fasten the ends of the first strip together to make a loop using glue, tape or in a pinch a stapler. Then make triangle cuts on the sides. Take the next strip and thread it through the first loop. Then fasten the ends of that loop together. Do this to all the strips and you have a snowflake garland.

You can also make a garland from white tri-beads. Use thin yarn or string and thread the beads through to the length of your choosing. These tri-beads look similar to snowflakes and glisten when placed next to the tree lights or other lights.

Make Snow
Make your own snow using ice, an ice chipper or a food processor. If you are having a holiday party this is a great way to keep the drinks cool. Be careful when shaving the ice. You can use your food processor or a blender to chip the ice too. Some blenders have a pulse button that will allow you to chip away at the ice without liquefying it.

If you don’t want to make snow using ice you can make fake snow using confetti. Take any white paper and make confetti by tearing it into very tiny pieces. A simple hole puncher can do the job although if you need a lot of snow that can be a tedious task. If you have a paper shredder, shred some paper and cut into smaller pieces for confetti. You can put the “snow" into little pouches, tie with a white ribbon and use them as gift bags if you’d like.

Snow Theme Parties:
Along with the above ideas you can throw a snow theme party. Give out ice blocks as a gift. Make snowflake marshmallows. You can melt a package of regular marshmallows and place into a shallow cookie pan or jelly roll pan. With a buttered knife cut out snowflake shapes. Once the marshmallow mixture hardens a bit then you can pull out the snowflake shapes. Use these snowflakes in hot chocolate or on cookies.

Make sugar cookies and add white frosting or white baking crystals for snow. Give away white gumdrops as snowballs.

You can make an igloos with the white gumdrops too and use as a centerpiece. Take as many gumdrops as you need and put them together in the shape of an igloo. You can use icing or toothpick to fasten them together.

Other Ideas:
You can always make a snow angel with or without snow. Take a styrofoam cone and add some lace or tissue paper wings. Take pipe cleaners (also called chenille stems in some places) and bend them into wing shapes. Then glue on the lace or tissue paper inside the wing shape. Attach the wings to the cone. You can use a styrofoam sphere for the head. Add a yellow or golden halo made from a pipe cleaner. Add wiggle eyes of paint on the eyes, mouth and nose if you’d like. Give the angel some arms in front and you have a snow angel.
